This was my first time delving into tape lights. I knew they could be complicated (for me anyway), and these have proved me right. These are just the tape lights. You need the power supply and the RGB control as well. And you need to make sure it's a 24-volt power supply with the correct amperage. The correct amperage will vary depending on length of the tape light you decide to use.

These lights look great. We had them installed by our contractor with a dimmer switch to control the brightness and a remote to change the settings (not included). They are above our kitchen cabinets and add a wonderful nighttime glow. We tried different colors and white, they all look fantastic. It’s great to have the remote to make changes whenever you want.

The Armacost strips differ with the conventional RGB strips as they also have a dedicated white light led source. Keep in mind that these lights are not plug and play and would need a power supply and LED controller for operation. I have vaulted ceilings in my living room and wanted an ambient light source other than the floor lamp. The overall install does not take long (unless you have lot of curved surfaces) as the back has a 3M adhesive. As you can see from the pictures, I've installed at the split level of my vaulted ceiling and they are completely concealed. The white light is surprisingly bright and gives a very different ambiance to my living room compared to the floor lamp. The LED is also dimmable which makes movie watching really fun in the living room. For my next project, I may install these over my kitchen counter as they can be easily hardwired with my existing power source.

Our porch is not quit ready for these lights. we are going to put two strands together so they will reach all the way down our porch .As I will say the best thing is to read the instructions all the way before you start . This will insure you will not miss any steps to install these lights correctly. I know they will be fun and great for entertaining on hot summer evenings

If you are looking for a professional, high-quality, very bright, RGB+W (60 RGB+60 White LEDs/meter), 24 volt and highly customizable LED tape lights, look no farther as this product is what you need. It is important to note that this is only the LED tape and does not include a 24 volt (75 watt) power supply or the LED controller both of which are required for operation. While I am waiting for those two items I bench-tested the LED tape using a power supply and a LED controller I had in my “parts drawers” just to see the brightness and color separation. I expected it to be very bright considering the 60 + 60 configuration and the professional quality of the tape - and my expectation was met. The LEDs are very bright with dimming ability to a very low light (see pictures). This product is meant to be highly customizable to match just about any configuration – with cut marks about every 4 inches along the entire 5 meters of length. Included in the package are a couple of snap connectors (you can also use solder rather than the connectors) and wire supports along with very detailed but easy to follow instructions. Overall, I am very happy with the tape light and would recommend if a professional install is desired.

This is a very bright LED strip. It has 60 RGB/W pairs per Meter and can be cut every 10 CM (3.84”) and will have 6 LED pairs in each segment. This strip takes 24VDC at 2A (48W for 5M) to operate and there is no Silicone covering so this unit is intended for indoor use only. The colors are clear and accurate and I used an Armacost SlimLine RGB/W Color, White LED Remote Controller to control the colors. The package contains full instructions and hints for best installation, some clips to hold the strip/wires in place and a short ‘extension’ with snap-on clips to allow the strip to be cut to go around corners without excessive LEDs in the twist. It also has a splice to join cut pieces if you need it. Read the instructions completely for the best installation as color accuracy depends on the correct power supply and correct power connections. I was very pleased with the brightness and color of this product and highly recommend it.
