Defect in the light strip-Do not purchase!

We spent 3 evenings installing over 1,000 feet of this strip lighting on our boat dock roof, using a extension ladder and a large step ladder. When we were completed (with track and cover) a 9" section in the middle of one 360' run has a yellow area in it when on the white setting (which will be the most common color we use) Spent a lot of money on this lighting for our new (and very expensive) dock and boat lift to have a inferior product. Called Lowe's customer service.. to get a replacement, they said bring it back and they will replace. This was a special order, and when I get the ladders out again to remove the defective tape (360') I want to have the replacement to install. Lowe's said "no, you have to bring back the defective product and they will order the replacement. I DO NOT Recommend this product!

Good quality lights, instructions can leave a bit to be desired. I'm not an LED light install expert, although I have used them in the past. These lights come with leaders at both ends, one is about 2ft and the other is about 4ft, with tinned wires. Because of that, I was reluctant to use some controllers I already had and ordered the appropriate Armacost brand controllers and power supplies. Unfortunately, the color of the wires that is used for leaders isn't easily converted to the symbols used by the controller and nowhere, in the install manual that I saw anyway, did it say what color wire to connect to what terminal. I did realize that the symbols on the controller matched the symbols on the LED tape, so I was able to figure it out successfully. It would have been really nice to have that part better documented.

These are expensive for what they are. Buy the whole kit for less. The kit will include the proper voltage adapter and a remote control. If you just buy the ribbon, you end up having to piece everything together.

This Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex Pro 16.4 ft (5 m) Multi-Color and White LED Tape Light 30 Plus 30 LEDs need to be used with the light kit and remote control (sold separately). To test the light and I end up ordered the light kit to make it work. The great thing about the tape light is it is easy to cut to the size you need. With the self-stick tape, it is easy to apply to kitchen countertops or cabinets. With the remote, you can dim the light and change the color temperature easily. The LED saves energy and should last for a long time.

We have LED strips all around the house, under the cabinets, accent lighting, etc. So when we wanted to extend the LEDs we looked at the Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex Pro 16.4 ft (5 m) Multi-Color and White LED Tape Light 30 Plus 30 LEDs to fill in the gaps. These work great and are easy to splice into an existing strip or with a separate controller, make a new LED run. Comes with a couple connectors but you'll need a controller. You don't really need a lot of electrical knowledge but some is required to install. Can be used with house wiring or DC batteries depending on the controller module you attach. Not for outdoor use!

Lighting is such an important element to any space especially the kitchen. The Armacost ribbonflex led tape is wonderful at adding just the perfect amount of light to under kitchen cabinets or actually any cabinets in any room of your home. I have used similar products to Armacost RibbonFlex Pro 16.4 Ft. LED Accent Lighting, but this is the first one that must be hardwired. **Please read direction thoroughly and carefully before beginning. There are guidelines to help you understand the lighting and how it can be configured, cut to size and installed. This is a DIY project, BUT you MUST have basic knowledge of wiring such as stripping, splicing, extending and connecting wires are required. Since it has to be hardwired unless you upgrade, planning is the key. Which switch are you going to use to turn on and off, how you want to configuration, where to place. It is not intended to look at directly! Dry location only. It provides LED lighting that can be mounted securely in numerous application. If you have ever installed a ceiling fan, you can handle this easy project. Overall, a fun project, the uses are endless.

These are high quality, bright LED strips. It is important to note that they require 24 volts. This won't work for automotive or nautical situations where you don't have access to 24 volts. Also, to gain the most flexibility from the lights you need a controller. you can power a single color with the multi-lead wiring but no change it. The kit comes with the adapters necessary to terminate or sharply turn the tape. There are permanent wires on each end so you have lots a options for layouts. The instructions are also comprehensive in different wiring arrangements.

This Armacost Lighting ribbonflex multi- color and white led tape is an excellent choice where varying lengths are required. There are several couplers provided but probably not enough if you have lots of starts and stops do make sure you can get additional matching couplers for 3 wire systems. The strip has 3M backing tape for easy installation. Full instructions are included.
