I really like these chairs, but putting them together was a bit of a challenge. Luckily I had my partner home to help me because attaching the seat and back piece to the arms is very hard. I also got a little freaked out because as I was putting together and had little bits of the finish on my skin I noticed the warning about chemicals and lead so I was not happy about that. I most likely got a bit of lead poisoning that day I put them together which is terrifying and not reversible. Other than that fear, I like how they look and I've had one pair of them for years and they are still holding up well. I hope these newer ones hold up just as well.

Absolutely love it , took me a while to put it together But it was beautiful once it was done . Love love it , worth the money so glad I bought it. . Would highly recommend. , very sturdy and love the color

I bought the pale pink and they are gorgeous. Shipping was quick and a nonevent. Unfortunately, when it came to putting in the last bolts, there was at least a 2 inch gap to be able to do so. I ended up putting both chairs on their side with the arm up that still needed the bolts. I had to sit on the arm to narrow the gap, and was finally able to secure the bolts. They are lovely and look great at my outside table. I am 5'0" and my feet touch the ground nicely. Someone taller would probably be uncomfortable.

Finally got them put together after having to alter a few pieces of the chair to make it fit properly. It requires a hack saw and grinder and a buffer/sander to allow the misshapen original parts to complete the project. I bought 4 chairs. 2 needed adaptatation. I'd have returned them but we had already assembled 2 of them as they were a mother's day gift. I will say that once adapted and assembled they look lovely.

So, I ordered these chairs for my husband who wanted them for their nostalgic affect. That is there. The bad thing is that both chairs seemed like returns from someone who had tried to assemble them and failed. They have small dents and scrapes. We decided to keep them anyway as the return process wouldn't be worth it. The assembly is a little tricky and my husband is handy and experienced. Luckily, he has a large clamp that he needed to use to spread the arms to be able to get the washers in the space. We assembled them in a different order than suggested in the pamphlet. No, that's not why the washers didn't fit, it's just a very tight fit. So, if you really like these chairs, I suggest using your imagination and skills to come up with a better way to assemble. It can be done, don't get me wrong but it's tricky. Also, I think the manufacturer should include a can of touch up paint in case you receive previously returned ones, as we did.

Beautiful, functional retro chair, comfortable with just a little spring in the seat. A bit of a project to put together, but long-term reward well worth it! And well-made with quality materials. Easy to move around and comfortable with a low profile seat cushion added.

These chairs appear to be very well made and durable. I purchased the red ones. Love the colour. They are comfortable and make such an attractive, retro-style design statement on my patio. I love them! They do, however, offer quite the challenge with assembly. Directions are detailed and very easy to understand, but I would suggest two people working together on this project! I did it myself and struggled. I recommend paying attention to the suggestion in the assembly directions that says NOT to really tighten up all of the bolts UNTIL all pieces have been loosely assembled. All-in-all, I would highly recommend these lovely chairs!

Love these chairs. Would be better to have two people to assemble. Instructions were very easy to follow. There were separate packages with hardware for both chairs so you couldn’t really make a mistake. These are more of a burgundy vs bright red color — matches our redwood stained deck very nicely. They handle the weather quite well. Simply wipe the off with a rag and they’re good to go. There are holes in the seat for drainage so the rain doesn’t stay on them. I would purchase these again without hesitation.

Don’t be fooled by the EXCEPTIONALLY good price. I did not expect such quality, but this is one sturdy pair of chairs. I know because I assembled them. The metal bars of the legs do not rest on the ground. There are rubbery disks on the base that provide cushioning in case of rough or unleveled surfaces. Those cushioning disks also envelope the majority of places that would otherwise be metal-on-metal, and therefore be less stable.

This was my 1st shopping experience with Overstock. Love the color of these chairs, even good material. Totally excited to finally get my package and the price was outstanding. Imagine my surprise to receive the wrong bolts. Having to text chat. While being told, we can refund you $*** and you can go and get the bolts yourself. The toolkit contained medium bolts, it was suppose to have long ones as well. So disappointed.

I was looking for a more durable alternative to the resin chairs I had been using outdoors in my yard. The resin chairs have become so cheaply/poorly made that they wouldn't last more than a year. I saw these Crosley chairs and decided to ty them. Wow, these chairs are great! They are made of steel, have a base that won't sink into damp ground and the seat height makes it easy to get in and out of them. They are pretty easy to assemble but I recommend that you have a helper because the last portion of assembly requires you to pull the chair arms inward toward each other while inserting the bolt and screwing the nut on. The chair comes with a hex driver and wrench but they are of cheap quality. I used a t-handle hex nut driver 4mm and a power driver with 10mm socket and that made the job much easier. These chairs are "retro" in that they are just like the steel lawn chairs that most people had in the late 1950's and mid 1960's. I liked these so much that I ordered three more similar Crosley chairs (Griffith) to round out my back yard. They are heavier than resin chairs but I no longer have to worry about hearing that "snap, crackle and pop" when I sit down. These should last forever!

Good quality chairs with old time charm

Bought these for our courtyard and am using them with a (previously black) table that I repurposed with a little spray paint. They are very comfortable and have survived our humid, hot weather without any signs of rust. Colors are still very vibrant. Having 2 people for assembly is a huge help because it took brute strength to get some of the bolts to line up with the holes. Not the worst thing I've assembled, but not easy, either. Socket wrench is handy for tightening everything once bolts are in place.

Purchase date was November 6th, 2019. The chair is not yet a year old (9 months). It is in a screen room exposed to the humid Florida air for a few months of summer but most of the time it was in mild dryer air of the non summer months. It does NOT get wet unless its really blowing. There is marked bubbling and a crack in the paint on top of the bubble. There is speckled rust on the leg in the other picture. I purchased a different brand several years ago and there is NO rust on them and they were less expensive. Although the color and design is lovely I would never buy or recommend this chair.
