[Rewarded Review] Great soft car top carrier

The Rightline Gear Ace 2 15 cubic foot car top carrier worked great. We drove 1910 miles from Phoenix Az to Mears Mi. It was stable on the roof and did not leak in the rain. At first the hold down straps vibrated & made a buzzing sound but I put a full 360 degree twist in each strap and then the vibrating and buzzing went away. Also the car top carrier should be fully loaded to prevent it from flopping in the wind and tearing/fatiguing the bag material. It was perfect for our needs and we were able to put a ton of stuff into the car top carrier. I would definitely recommend this product.

The material is very strong, good quality material. It rained for hours during our drive to Myrtle beach and everything was dry and good.

[Rewarded Review] Velcro came off on first time we used it

Thought we would really enjoy this rooftop cargo carrier. It was easy to get everything hooked up, easy to load and had plenty of room. But first time we used it for less than 120 mile trip all the velcro came off that holds the flap over the zipper which defeats the purpose of it being waterproof because the zipper is exposed the the weather and elements. Which really sucks because we had hoped to use this carrier for many trips to free up space inside the vehicle. It's like the glue that was used on both sides of the velcro tabs just came undone. To me I'd think they should be glued and stitched for a permanent hold.

Great carrier for a small with no roof rack.

Very pleased so far, 1500 miles in. Performed beautifully on my our Subaru on a three-day journey home after our wedding. We didn't have a roof rack and needed a simple way to bring along our dog crate and some additional luggage, and this was perfect.

Easy to put on my Chevy Trax, held alot more than I thought it could. No noise, and never shifted. I did purchase additional tie downs just to be extra safe. Made a 22 hour trip to Florida through a lot of rain and everything was still dry when arriving. Folded it up when done and stored in corner of the closet doesn't take up alot of space. I highly recommend if you need an economical way of transporting items to purchase this. Great investment.

This bag flaps on the roof. It ripped open had to put the stuff in my car. Dont waste your money

Worked like a charm the first trip. The second trip, a week later, one of the closing zippers pulled and broke. Overall, it still works and I like it's space. Will continue to use it.

This cargo carrier had a great capacity and was easy to mount. The zippers were solid with good weather proofing. However, the material failed on the first trip one way Texas to Florida. It had multiple tears on the bottom of the carrier

Quality

The bag did amazing all the way from Texas to Georgia but ripped very easily when we were removed it from the car, thankfully it was on the bottom and we were still able to use it for our journey to Indiana! No water got in when the zipper was properly closed and sealed!

This bag was not durable at all. After one use the seems were coming apart.

Replacement

I've purchased before but the item wore out and purchased another, however there was a defect and I reached out for a replacement. The replacement worked like a charm and did the trick. Thank you

[Rewarded Review] Strap broke on 1st use

Brought this bag for a short trip to the beach. Stopped after a few miles out to tighten straps per directions and the back strap tore off the bag. Had to detour and go buy a ratchet strap to continue our trip. Not sure how to return or get our money back.

Worked well over a 1 hour 20 minute drive

Worked well for an SUV driving 60 mph over a 1 hour 20 minute drive.

Highly recommend.

Rightline gear roof car carrier for extra space

This carrier held so much of our luggage it was perfect for our vacation this year. I will use this every year from now on. Wonderful product. Thanks
