Drafting Chair
It is not a quality product. Every time I sit in it, btw I’m 175 pounds, I think it is going to break. Now I must shop for a better chair. Plus the washers and bolt for assembly were the wrong size…I had to go to Lowes to get correct ones.
Chair Broke After A Year And A Half
For awhile I loved this chair. I purchased it for my craft room.I don't always sit when I am in my craft room as I have a standing table so this chair really hasn't been used a terrible amount. Recently I started to feel like I was sitting sideways and slipping out of the chair. Had my boyfriend look at it and it is in fact tilted as a piece of metal bent underneath it. I have only had this chair for a year and a half. Very disappointed especially as it is steadily getting worse. Hard to see full extent of tilt in photo due to black fabric.
Poor Quality, Waste of Money
Poor quality chair, broke after one year and is under a “10 year warranty”. You will not be able to contact the vendor and target.com customer service will not offer a refund or take responsibility for their vendors lack of response. Poor quality and poor customer service from target.com and this vendor don’t waste your money. Base of chair is completely cracked and the vendor will not send the proper part.
This is the second time Walmart shipped a broke item to me. I finally ended up buying this item from Stapels. You might want to check this issue with your warehouse. This is the second time I received an item that was damaged. Last year it was my television that came in broken. twice and this time it was this chair. I am very disappointed.
Over priced piece of junk
This arrived today and after putting it together it isn’t worth the money. The seat higher when fully extended is only about 28 inches before you sit on it and it goes down a few more inches. Cheeply made. No wonder you don’t get to see it in the store. Do not buy.
Target won't stand by product
Metal snapped 6 months and one day after buying it. Just outside the return window. No refund. No exchange. Thanks for nothing.
Good chair but not durable
I bought this chair in Jan 2020. I chose this chair because my desk is at a weird height - not quite standing, too high for a regular chair (there are space reasons why I kept it at this height but anyway). For most of the last year it's been a great chair. It's been comfortable to sit in for roughly eight hours at a go, the foot rest is great, really had no problems for a long time. Now, I was ahead of the curve, planning to WFH a lot more due to a move to an open office, only of course just a few months later to be WFH 100% of the time instead of 50-75%. So I have been using this chair 5 days a week, almost every week, since last March, and this chair just didn't hold up. It is....tilted. The seat is totally tilted forward at an angle. I gradually started to realize I felt like sliding off when I sat down. It took a long time for that back-of-mind feeling to coalesce into A Thing, for me to realize I wasn't just imagining that feeling. I finally stepped back and looked at the chair and it is totally out of whack and I can't seem to fix it. After messing around with it quite a bit it really seems like the metal plate that connects the seat to the column has warped. It's hard to photograph but I picked one where you can see the big difference in space between the arm rests and the underside of the desk - the right armrest is much lower because of the underlying tilt. I'm pretty average height and weight. I wear a size medium in women's clothes. I can't swear that I sit in a perfectly ergonomic position every day so maybe I've been applying pressure in weird ways (but if anything I usually find myself really slouching, which doesn't seem like it would warp the chair into a forward tilt!). It was a cheap chair. It's really got that going for it, I suppose - it lasted a good while for the price (especially since I've looked at more expensive chairs with reviews that they broke in three months after constant use). But I still would have expected a better life span than one year.
It's exactly what I was looking for.
Love this chair, so easy to put together. And very comfortable..
DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR
It's a piece of junk that I carried from the store and now I have to carry it back!
Leans / Favors one side
The chair is functional, however, seems to lean to one side. Can cause back issues with continued use.
Negative
Arm rest holes didn't line up, so one is straight and one is crooked. Bolt that attaches back to seat base was not the correct bolt for the application.
This is a darn good lightweight drafting chair! It has saved me because I threw out my lower back and it's gone down into my hips, and sitting has been a nightmare. I'm an art graduate and I do almost everything on my computer. I had to raise everything on my desk up (I can't afford a nice standing desk yet, plus I like having drawers and the design doesn't allow for that), and I was using an old diner stool with a back, but it's hard and started falling apart. So now I can finally manage to sit again! My bf assembled it (hence my bad back), and agreed that the instructions are a little confusing, but he still put it together pretty quickly. You kind of have to jimmy some parts a little, and if the back of the chair is wobbly/loose you have to tighten the big plastic knob/screw underneath counter-clockwise with some force until it holds the back up tightly. I might add some foam around the arm rests bcuz they're hard, but it's a less expensive modern design, so I get why they're plastic. It's doesn't weigh much, so be sure to brace the chair before getting on if it's not on carpet. Other than that, it's a great tall, adjustable chair.
Good chairs for the Price
They held up good in a construction office site. For the moeny they are good.
Buyer Beware. Poor Quality.
I shouldn't have purchased these chairs. I purchased 4 of these in December, and they've barely been touched since purchase because I was working on building a workstation to place 4 computers on. Less than a week of use and the mesh backing is ripping out of the chair from just regular use. Nothing special about it. It's not even 6 months old. Just trash. My own fault for trying to save money on drafting chairs.
Great for Office
Perfect height for my 3 foot counter. Very comfortable.
Missing Part
Couldn’t assemble it correctly without an important part.
Very Satisfied with these
Chairs were relatively easy to assemble, priced very well while comparing and delivery was very quick. Will be buying more in the future.
A darn nice chair.
This is a very nice chair. Constructing it took about 20 minutes. I did not mount the arm rests. Rolls smoothly. The underside of the chair is plastic veneer, but it's it appears to be just for cosmetics. I think the bolts do mount in to solid wood. Nothing jiggles after construction. As I said, just a nice chair. -- One additional comment. If you ever needed to deconstruct it to move to a different apartment, you'd probably not be able to easily deconstruct it as easily as you constructed it. You'd probably end up moving it fully constructed.
Just ok.
It is a decent chair for the price. Arms are difficult to put on as the holes do not line up with the arm. Also the foot rest will not stay in place, it keeps going all the way to the base.
