I am gluten intolerant and use 20 or more different flour blends in my baking. I bought 20 of these containers, labeled them and organized them in alphabetical order which helps me when looking for a specific flour for my recipe.

The perfect size.

With all the different size Rubbermaid canisters I found the perfect trio. Wanting canisters to fit in my cupboard and be able to store the entire bag of flour and sugars was easy to find. I like being able to see through the canister so I don't have to label them.

Fabulous containers

I keep all my baking ingredients in them . They stack neatly in your pantry and keep food fresh. I have 20+ Rubbermaid containers in my kitchen. Wouldnt trade them for anything !!

Rubbermaid Modular Canisters

I have read a few of the "1 Star" Ratings, simply because I was shocked that 13 people would give this product such a low rating. I have never left a product review before, but I have to stand up for this one! It appears that some of the poor reviews are referring to a different Rubbermaid product than this one. I think the ones that are referred to as leaking and lids cracking are the "square rounds". This product is a much thinner plastic, with thin red lids. I can see why they wouldn't be good used in the microwave #we shouldn't use plastic in the microwave anyway#, and why the disappointment of using them in the freezer, though the company says you can use them in these capacities. I do use mine in the dishwasher and have not had any problems. I make sure they stay upright in lunchbags, for fear they'll leak. Unfortunately, they do not have a lid that seals tight enough for much travel. I simply use them for leftovers and sharing meals with those in need, so I don't worry about getting the container returned. The Rubbermaid Modular Canister is actually a very nice product, that I've been using for a couple of years now and with which I am VERY satisfied. Each time I go to Walmart, I pick up a few more containers, as I'm changing out my pantry from the older round Tupperware canisters. The square and rectangular shapes are much more practical, and this product is more affordable than Tupperware #as much as I've been devoted to that product line#. These stack perfectly, the lids are interchangeable, easily washable #dishwasher or by hand#, and sturdy. I have no concerns that they won't last as long as my Tupperware has. I like the different sizes and that they are see-through. My family can see which snacks are available, and I can see what needs to go on the shopping list. I hope this review helps to differentiate between the two products that I believe are represented on this forum.

Recently experienced a pantry moth problem. I already had a great air-tight canister set for ordinary things like flour and sugar, but decided it was time to invest in some rubbermaid storage containers to protect ALL my dry goods. These are fantastic! The 11" height of my cabinet shelves wouldn't allow me to use the Cereal Keepers, but these tall container units work just fine. No pour spout, but I can live with that! I now have containers for everything....cereal, oats, rice, barley, bread crumbs, corn meal, dry beans, pasta, etc. Couldn't be more pleased!

I love these modular canisters! I have had them for over a year now. I use them daily! The fit nicely in my cabinet, stackable all the lids are the same size. container dept varies which is nice cuz i can max my cabinets and see into each canister. No more boxes, plastic bags that all tumble everywhere. I have cereal, pasta, beans, sugar, flour, crackers, beans, cookies, chips, ect (everything that not in a can) is in one of these canister. Easy to open and to clean. I wouldn't change anything about them or buy any other type of storage canister for the pantry. Very good investment and if I realize that I need more I can by them individuality also that a plus. Very good for organize groups of food to. I have a baking section, breakfast section, pasta, ect... Also when I worked at a store that sold these, I had a customer that came in and ask me for my advise on food storage products I told him this product, he came to the check out later with every single one that we had in stock (single and sets) he then came back on his next shopping trip and found me, his words were " Thank you so much, my wife and I and the family absolutely loves this and my wife is completely grateful for you because she was having a really hard time with other products"

These are great!

I love these containers, because they fit together well and each size uses the same lid!! They are great for optimizing your cabinet or pantry space. A modular that is double wide might be a great addition to this line of Rubbermaid products for even greater ease in scooping ingredients like flour. I find they organize my limited cabinet space VERY well!
