Our 1400 square foot condo has hardwood floors throughout and tiles in the bathrooms. Im old school when it comes to cleaning floors. Give me a good ol mop bucket and big, stringy mop and Id change out the water several times while cleaning to cut down on cleaning with dirty water. I remember when Swiffer first introduced the wet spray system. I was appalled because I didnt think it did a good enough job as the mop bucket. Years ago I started with the traditional Rubbermaid commercial-grade yellow mop bucket on wheels along with their commercial-grade mop heads. But that system took too much space for storage. Then I moved to the O Cedar system, which is much smaller, but has its own flaws. The biggest challenge Ive faced with traditional mop buckets is that our master bath has white textured floor tile, which is a nightmare to keep clean (we dont wear outdoor shoes in there). I had to abandon the O Cedar system and get on my hands and knees because the O Cedar mop would get stuck on the tiles as I applied pressure to scrub the dirt. I needed something new that would save me time, reduce the aches and pain I had from scrubbing, and actually get my floor clean. And thats when I discovered this little guy. It has changed my mind on the effectiveness of these spray systems over a traditional mop bucket. With this system I have found major benefits over the traditional mop bucket: 1. I save a ton of time while mopping because Im not switching out water. 2. I dont have aches and pains from cleaning the bathroom floor on my hands and knees. 3. The floors dry much more quickly since theyre not as saturated. 4. The floors are just as clean as they were with the mop bucket. While this system is great, there are some downsides for me: 1. Im 54, and I find the handle to be a bit unwieldy. I wish the handle were adjustable so that I could make it slightly shorter, which would give me more leverage for scrubbing. 2. Its difficult to clean out the water reservoir. I use vinegar/water for the hardwood floors, and a heavy duty tile cleaner for the bathroom floors. When Im changing out the waters, I have to flip the handle over the tub. 3. Its difficult to fill the water reservoir. This thing didnt come with instructions, and I couldnt find anything on Rubbermaids website. I couldnt find a way to disconnect the water reservoir to fill it or empty it. Because the pole is so long, it cant fit under my bathtub faucet, so I have to use the kitchen faucet by pulling the head out and filling it. 4. I often overfill it. Because of the awkward way I have to fill the reservoir at the kitchen sink, it becomes difficult to see through the clear window to see how much water is in there. 5. I dont know what the reservoir is made of, and Im concerned that over time the water wont dry out and this will become full of mold. Despite the downsides, the upsides make this an attractive piece of equipment that will stay in my cleaning arsenal. I can only hope that it stands the test of time and will replace my old school methods permanently.

Love this model. The ergonomic button sits just where your hand is so it makes it easy to dispense floor cleaner as you move and rotate the mop. The older model had a button that was so uncomfortable to use that it wasn't worth the effort. 5 STARS for this one.

I like the mop itself but am leery about the plastic liner inside the solution/cleaner container - it's questionable as to whether it will hold up long here in the hot/dry desert (most rubber and plastics break up within 2 years). I bought both the wet pad and the dust mop pad. Wet pad not as absorbent as I would like, dry mop could have more dust mop and less pad - I had a microfiber mop head I was putting on my other mop that worked better, but it won't attach to this mop properly. It had longer fringes and not just around the outside of the mop-pad as this one is.

This is a great mop----but yes, as reported, the valve will quit dispensing fluid. BUT,,,its easily fixable! Don't give up. The cable becomes disconnected from the push button. Take all the screws out of the black housing over the bottle, take the screw out of the end of the handle, take the screws out that hold the button mechanism, slide the grip handle off. You will see the cable ball has come out of the connector. Put it back in. I then put some liquid still over the gap---to close the gap. Put all the screws back--works good as new! DON'T GIVE UP ON THIS UNIT---BEST MADE--JUST SLOPPY GRIP FOR THE CABLE THAT CAN BE FIXED!

This product was AMAZING until the pump stopped working almost exactly 1 year after purchase. I can find no information online on how to repair the problem. So freakin annoyed. And let me add that now I have to decide a new system. I am really really pissed. Let me add I used it exactly as stated and not very often There should be no reason that it suddenly stopped working. I paid $134 which was a stretch for me but thought I was buying a quality product.

I bought this for my commercial cleaning jobs and it is not the right tool for those types of jobs. After using it for 5 months the floors started to show build up. It became worse as winter hit, with salt and ice being brought in the floors really got bad. And this just does not cut it anymore. It is too lightweight, and you really need a mop head with thick tassels to clean floors right... So if your buying this for a simple house clean I can say ti works great. if your a commercial cleaner, it wont help you.
