Well engineered and good quality

I got the 48 version in black. Everything except the top itself is identical to the 60 version. The support structure width is adjusted during assembly to fit the top you choose. The top has a coarse grain (not very smooth) and seems like soft wood that will scratch easily. Use a desk pad. The support structure is all steel and heavy. Assembly was straightforward for me, but could be challenging if you are inexperienced with mechanical stuff. It ships it two boxes. The top was well wrapped and protected. The base structure is in the other box, and it's heavy for one person unless you are used to lifting. Everything in the boxes was in perfect condition. Tools are included, but allen head sockets make it easier if you have them. The adjusting mechanism is pretty smooth and I think it will hold up fine. The vertical extending legs are pre-assembled. The only other thing to be aware of is that this comes with wheels as well as regular feet. If you use the wheels, the minimum desk height is 32. That is a little high for a normal office chair. I'm going with a drafting chair, as that works better with the wheels-on height, and requires less adjustment to get to the standing height. I am happy with the purchase.

I'm sitting at the 48 Luxor crank adjustable desk in black oak as I write this review. It arrived on my doorstep yesterday, and my husband and I built it in less than 90 minutes. The pictorial instructions were good and it was pretty painless to build.

Nice desk for the price

I purchased the black top/black legs combo. I think this was the most expensive the combinations. It's a very nice desk for the price. I bought this as I much prefer to stand rather than sit while working. I am using this for a work -from-home two days a week station/sewing machine table. Since it's on castors, it will also act as an extension to my fabric cutting table when handing large pieces of fabric. I did put this together myself, but some additional help would have been useful. All-in-all I am pleased with the purchase.
