I gave it 5 stars because it looks great, was delivered quickly and it suits my needs! But, I found it very difficult to assemble by myself because it's tall and just an awkward size and it is not very sturdy until it is totally assembled. And of course, it didn't help that after assembling the first shelf I realized it was upside down. I had the shelf top screwed on upside down. My stupid mistake though and at least I realized it before I had all the shelves assembled on to the frame. But once it is assembled, it feels very sturdy to me, as I have my card making supplies on it. I also love the color, I wish I had wood floors this color. Oh and it was very heavy to bring the box inside when it was delivered.

This Danya B 40 inch brown and tan metal 3 shelf etagere bookcase with open back is a great choice. It was very easy to assemble, the iron frame makes it very sturdy yet it is light enough for me to move without any assistance. This unit is the perfect size for our living room where I can display some of my favorite heirlooms. It also has leveling legs. I would definitely recommend this shelving unit.

This is very well made, attractive, and functional bookcase. In our home it is actually used to add color and liven up a room. Assembly was quite quick and easy. As the pieces were joined together the well thought out design caused everything to square up nicely. Screws and anchors went together properly. Adjustable leg leveling inserts are included to be sure bookcase stands flat on the floor. The brown color and texture of the shelves, along with the metal supports give an industrial appearance and are very well done. Shelves are rated at 35 lbs each. At 40" high, 35" wide and about 12.5" deep this is a very usable size. It replaced an older guestroom bookcase and really adds to the appearance of the room.

We love our DANYA B 40 in. Brown/Tan Metal 3-shelf Etagere Bookcase with Open Back. It brings a kind of modern look to our decoration. You can use this bookcase for pictures/portraits and a lot of books. It has a lot of space for books or pictures. The rustic frame is made out of metal and it goes perfectly with the wooden accent of this shelf bookcase. The 3 shelves are very sturdy and super easy to assemble. Honestly, this bookcase can provide a lot of storage or display for more than just books. The frame is made out of iron and the shelves are not solid wood, is looks more like laminated medium density fiberboard. The bookcase was very easy to assemble, instructions and hardware were included and easy to follow, our included extra hardware which is nice to have just in case. You can use this bookcase on the entryway, living room, office spacer or any place in the house where you want it. Highly recommend this bookcase.

Love the design

I love the design of this shelving unit! It's a rustic and modern look. The assembly was time intensive with lots of parts and coordination. Could be a challenge to assemble if you're looking for something easy to assemble. I would have given a 5 star rating, but the quality of the shelves are not that great. They have a fake wood look and are lightweight. I thought they would be more natural looking and substantial. I'd recommend this for the design look and functunality, but not for the quality.

Doesn't look the same as the online pictures

The laminate looked really cheap and the color is not how it looks in the pictures. When I got the product delivered, the wood color looked greenish. Well, what can you expect if it is that cheap right. I returned it right away.

Color

The quality was okay, but the color was nothing like the photograph. The shelves turned out to have a green tone, almost like wood that has been sitting outdoors for sometime. The shelves were also covered in a cheap looking plastic veneer. Not very satisfied and may end up changing the shelves for some wood ones that I can stain myself.

Nice bookcase, no major flaws

As the other reviewers mentioned, definitely a greener tint than the picture shows. However, I did read the reviews ahead of time so was prepared for that. Looks good in our modern office environment at work, very satisfied with the look. Fairly simple to assemble, though I did have some difficulty with a couple of the screws not lining up with the holes. Got past that with a little bit of effort and a pair of extra hands.

On the Green side

Easy to install, solid unit. Only issue is that the wood is quite a bit green-er then photos show.

Color is not as pictured

I was pretty disappointed that the color of the shelves was really green tinted. Not at all what I was expecting. However, it worked for the space I had. Since I have some green accents in the room it works. Will be keeping it but had preferred the brown color as shown in the picture. I need a larger matching shelf but I feel they won't truly match because the color is off.

Not at all like the color pictured

I had actually bought this in store as someone had returned it from their online purchase and was excited to find it for only $56 but when I brought it home and opened it up I immediately knew why it was returned in the first place. At first I realized that the shelving isn't actually wood, but laminate. It's a nice textured laminate but the thing that killed it for me was the color was totally off. It had a green hue to it and against the brown metal it just looked terrible. The online picture makes the shelves look more of a rustic brown, but in reality it looks more grey with an awful green hue. I'm super disappointed and will definitely be returning it.

Unique, rustic shelving unit

I bought this shelf to add to my bedroom decor. It was very easy to put together and fit perfectly in the space. It has a very rustic, vintage feel. I definitely recommend this product for anyone who like the reclaimed wood look.

Greenish Fake Wood Shelves

I didn't pay attention and thought I was getting real wood. Even then would have been ok if they didn't have a green tint to them. Metal frame was damaged too, has a mark on the top of it. Will see if I can find some reclaimed wood locally.

NOT Brown

The shelf color is NOT rustic brown. They are actually closer to green.
