The material is sturdy and attractive. I had a bunch o'stuff on top of my bookcase that had become an eyesore. I needed to keep the stuff where it was, but needed to hide the mess. These baskets fit the job perfectly. I didn't realize the baskets had handles on them, which is nice. Because they are cloth handles, you don't have to worry about them taking up extra space where you want to put the basket. I'm very happy with this purchase and would buy again.
