The shutters we custom ordered were exactly what we envisioned. They have enhanced the windows and room ambience. Arrived when scheduled.

Good Middle Ground Option

Smooth finish from factory and minimal prep so they paint nice with airless sprayer. We used SW Super Paint in a satin black which is a pretty unforgiving color and they look great. Lightweight, easy for one person to install. Installed over Hardie with PL Premium and 16 gauge finish nails. They look much better than vinyl shutters and comparable to PVC or Wood once painted. Double the cost of vinyl but half the cost of PVC or Wood. They are rot proof which is nice. So there you have it.

Interesting product but no wood grain.

We ordered the smooth and there definitely is zero wood grain appearance. We had to pivot from our plan to stain them and painted instead. Definitely not what we were expecting. Really more of a drywall type look than wood grain. It’s a fine product if you aren’t trying to make it look like wood, but that was kind of the point for us so a bit disappointed.

Cottage

The shutters were perfect and met all of my expectations. They were easy to paint and to install. I was so glad that I found your site, it saved my carpenters a lot of time by not having to make them for me. They look awesome!

Purchased the Riverwood style. Painted them but have not installed yet. They arrived primed, but primer is tacky…sticky. I have had to put 2 heavy coats of paint on them. Still painting…waiting for paint coats to dry and not be sticky either. Only concern is the shutters are not as sturdy as I expected (why the 4 stars) and hoping during installation they will not be damaged. They are very unique with wood-like appearance…yet very light weight! I like that!

Massively Impressed! Fantastic Value.

We re-did the front of our house and had some wood shutters on that were slowly falling apart. I got these shutters and am SUPER Impressed!. I used to work at a company that sold shutters, so I was wary that the quality would not be the best, but DANG these are great. I never do reviews, but had to submit a glowing one on these.

You can't tell they are not wood.

WOW - The rough cedar looks just like the timber used on my porch. Light weight and easy to install. I would recommend.

I wasn't too thrilled about the color I chose, so I gel stained the shutters and you cannot tell they're not wood! Looks like wooden shutters without the upkeep.

No! Don’t even think about these!

This has to be one of the worst products I have ever purchased in my life. They are very expensive for a foam shutter that will fall apart (ours already are). They arrived in terrible condition - they weren’t damaged they are just horrible quality. The sides were rough cut foam with holes. The description says they are primed, but plan on doing extensive patching and sanding to get them to an acceptable level. They are warped. I am disgusted by what these cost and how terrible they are.

They won’t match your expectations.

Very disappointed when I opened the box. Despite not being delivered for days after it shipped, the paint was somehow still tacky. Additionally they were damaged when packed, plus they are basically styrofoam with the sides being basically unfinished. Not at all what We were expecting compared to the pics online. Even if they hadn’t been damaged, they would’ve been returned anyway. I would never have put these on my home. They looked and felt incredibly cheap for the money.
