On the cheaper side but stylish

The item arrived damaged (assuming the shipping company's fault) but from what I could see it would have been a nice enough dresser. The pieces are thin, which is probably why it was so easily damaged, but you get what you pay for. Thankfully Overstock refunded my entire purchase!

Solid, Attractive, Easy to Assemble Dresser.

This is a great piece, especially for the price! Exactly what I was looking for. Assembly was really easy, just had to flip the dresser on its side to screw in the legs and unscrew/re-screw on the handles. Took 20 minutes, once I got a little help with flipping the dresser (it's a two-person job to lift the dresser, it's a little heavy). I've seen in some reviews that some folks have gotten damaged dressers - I might have lucked out on that, because I didn't see any wear or tear on the piece. Also, they absolutely killed it with the shipping. I just moved into a 2nd floor studio apartment that doesn't have an elevator, and managing deliveries has been a challenge in light of COVID. Have had a lot of big, heavy packages (other furniture pieces) left at the mail room vs. at my door. Because of the weight of this piece, I was worried about having to drag it up the stairs. But they delivered on time and to my door. It was a huge relief. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase.

Finally, a place for all my clothes.

The sturdiness of this dresser is quite surprising. There is an ample amount of storage space, which is exactly what I needed. The best part: just like another dresser I purchased, the assembly consisted of unpacking the box and securing the feet to the base. While this hardboard with a veneer, it's difficult to tell, the rustic look is quite attractive.

Fantastic Dresser, Minor issues

Was looking for a dresser to replace my 20 year old one that was cheaply made and falling apart. I needed one that had more storage space and matched my other bedroom furniture and this one fit the bill. Looks great, very easy to assemble as all you need to do is attach the legs with the provided Allen wrench and screw in the front handles with a Phillips screwdriver. I was a little bit worried when the bottom drawers didn't open easily when unpackaged and I had seen other reviews about them being stuck. I carefully pulled the drawers open, attached the handles (which are mounted inside each drawer, just unscrew and put on front), and then wiggled the drawers gently back and forth. They made a slight popping noise, then I pulled the drawers out completely and then remounted them on the center track. Now the drawers open and close smoothly. I might add some paraffin wax to each track if I want to make them even smoother. All in all a great, heavy dresser with solid visual appeal. Also, I had no shipping issues like some of the other reviewers. Either my UPS is more careful, or they changed the packaging to alleviate these issues.

Cheaply made, drawers don't close

Cheaply made. Finish easily scratches. One of the drawers will not fully close without some serious work. Much darker and deeper color than pictured.

Well built dresser

Solidly built modern dresser with great color and minimal assembly required (simply screw on legs with includedhardware). Would be a 5 stars if drawers opened up more.

damaged in shipping bad quality over all

returning it right now bad quality and got totally broken in the shipping process. I am not impressed with my first order at all and the experience i have right now. The bedroom furniture is still on the way and hopefully arrives in one piece? At was already ordered twice for the reason at was damaged on the way to my house. lets see how this comes to my house this time. I don't have a good feeling at all. Second delivery arrived and the same RING doorbell and have evidence how the UPS driver is damaging the package. wish I can download the video here. "Can I give less than one star?"

Worth the money....

Received item on time. Sturdily built. Was well worth the price paid and I am very happy with the item. Would have given a 5 star rating, but I had a problem with a sticking bottom drawer. But once I got the drawer open it worked fine. This is not the 1st Item I have ordered from Overstock and it definitely will not be that last item I will order.

This chest looks great, very solid and looks more expensive than the cost. No assembly needed other than attaching the pulls. Took off one star for two reasons, drawers do not come out all the way and the two bottom drawers are hard to pull out. Still, looks great and solid piece of furniture.

Nice But.....

The dresser is a very nice sturdy dresser. The only thing was it was damaged in 3 areas due to packaging. The plastic ties used to secure the parts to the dresser gouged into each side and at one of the screw holes at the bottom. One good advantage is that the dresser was basically all assembled accept for the handles and feet which made for quick assembly. I would purchase this again but packaging needs to be better as not to damage the dresser.

Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT BUY.

I first ordered this chest about a month ago. Upon opening the box, I realized that the back of the dresser was completely cracked, and the bottom drawer was stuck and unable to be opened. I contacted overstock and they sent me a replacement Tonight, I finally got a family member to help me bring it from my dad's house, up the stairs into my apartment. Upon unboxing the replacement, I realized it is in even WORSE condition than the first: (pics below) - the bottom frame is cracked - one leg hole wasn't drilled, so I can't even stand the chest correctly - the side and top of the chest aren't aligned - theres multiple cracks down the left side of the chest - EVERY. SINGLE. DRAWER. was off track. and we were unable to place it back on the track of the chest because either the track itself was broken, or the connector piece on the drawer was broken. Seriously guys, I thought with a few good reviews, this would be a trusty piece for a decent price, but just save yourself the hassle and buy a better quality chest. Now, I the replacement chest is not even usable, so my clothes are in piles all over my room. Ridiculous. Still awaiting a reply from overstock on this one.

I love this Chest!! The 5-drawers provides me with just the right amount of space I need. This bedroom set, as a whole, is beautiful: the bed, the nightstand...I have it all!. The one issue I have is the parts (screws) for one of the drawer's handle is not tightening properly.

I really like this chest, it's not too big, not too small, and fits perfectly in my small 1 bedroom apartment. It also doesn't look cheap given the cost of the chest that's always a worry.

Damaged when unpackaged, not "real wood"

Damaged upon receipt even though all packaging and boxes intact. Backing was busted. A drawer pull scratched. Drawers very shallow and not smooth/easy to open. Don't extend out far; can't remove drawers from chest. FYI: It is not really "real wood"/solid wood except for the legs and a tiny bit of facing of the product), but "MDF" w plastic wood print glued to it. Disappointed. Not worth the price.

its ok

Not only does it smell strongly like chemicals, it feels like it will only last a year. Arrived with damage on the back panel, despite being packed very well. Leads me to believe it was packed that way. The drawers don't glide as they open so much as scrape. This was my first piece purchased that i didn't have to assemble myself, but feel it was same quality and twice the price.
