The color of the carpet was completely different from the gold-based picture. At first, I thought that the wrong carpet was delivered. The actual rug is basically red and off-white, instead of gold and dark brown. A gold-based picture had been purchased, based on the colors of the rug in the picture. The rug is thick and seems to be of good quality, but if the rug is being purchased, based at all, on the colors in the picture - I recommend that you make a different purchase. . The weight and size of the rug is cumbersome, and hard to manage, as the heavy rug is folded in half and wrapped in plastic. For the size and price, it would have been better being shipped in a cardboard box.

The true colors are the darker photos.

I saw in the photos of the gold and red rug that this rug looks lighter in some photos and darker in others. That is weird. I hoped for the lighter color, but it really looks like the darker photos. Ok, I didn't spend that much, and will replace them in a few months.

It looks very nice and feels very nice. This is the first real wool rug that we have ever bought. Very excited. We put it next to the bed; it feels good to have it as the first thing to step on when getting off the bed. The pattern looks just like the picture, so does the color. It is a nice purchase.

I purchased two of these rugs in 2015 for the oversized living room in our new house. The colors are beautiful and the carpeting is plush. I do agree with other reviewers that said it removed a lot of wool when vacuuming; however, it has not continued to shed wool like it did. In fact, the rugs still look great!The photos are true to color and the detail is more impressive in reality. I would definitely recommend this rug.

I Ordered this rug by viewing the photograph and not reading the description. The photo of the rug looks like a light green. After I placed the order read that the primary color was gold. Overstock had my rug delivered within a couple of days. When I unrolled it, I was amazed at the quality of the rug and the price for such a large rug. I was disappointed the colors would not match my decor. The primary color is a pale straw color, also has touches of pink. I will reorder another rug from Overstock. They has been wonderful to help me in my return. Here is a photo of the rug:

We absolutely love this handmade gold Safavieh rug! I've been shopping around looking for a gold area rug with cranberry accents...not an easy item to find. I stumbled across this rug on Overstock & was skeptical about buying it online. I'm so happy I did, the colors & size are perfect and it brightens up our family room, the price was great too!

This is a great little rug. I wanted a rug that was 4' x 4' and it is a little smaller than that but not noticeably. I put it in the front entry hall under a small round table and it's absolutely perfect. The quality is unbelievable. Even though it's maybe an inch thick, my robot vacuum cleaner skims right over it and cleans it beautifully. It was a wonderful purchase and completed my new home.

This rug looks nothing like the picture of it online. The photo shows a creamy color in the center and border (description says gold) and the rug that I was sent was a green/brown. It was very ugly and so I returned it. The customer service representative however was wonderful about the return and gave me free shipping since this rug was so incredibly different from the description. That was much appreciated however since this is the second rug I have had to return due to color discrepancies, I will not being buying another rug from Overstock.

The Safavieh line of rugs are incredible. I am so fortunate that Overstock carries these rugs as I would not be able to purchase as many as I have considering the price elsewhere. The colors are true to the picture, no indication of shedding and the way they are packed and delivered ensures your purchase gets to you no damage and they lie flat within hours.

I got this rug over a year ago for behind my bar in my kitchen and it has been great! I shed a little at first ...but it has held up so well! I have gone through 2 sets of runners in the other part of my kitchen and am going to need a third and this still looks like new! I have 4 dogs btw and their dish is right by the rug... doesn't even look like anything ever got near it ..love it ...very thick and cushy too

Beautiful Rug

We couldn't be happier with this rug. Seems to be very well made and we've had no issues. The red color is more of a brick red, than a true red, but that was not an issue for us, just something to keep in mind. It does shed quite a bit in the beginning, but that has diminished as I've vacuumed it a few time. I expect the shedding with a wool rug, so it's not an issue for me.

Beautiful rug at a great price!

This rug is true to the color shown in the picture. It is not real subdued like many oriental rugs but the coloration is beautiful. The rug is actually 7"'6" by 9'9" which is perfect for me....I wanted the extra couple of inches so very happy about this. I like it so much I just ordered 4 runners to replace the rugs on the wood floors in my kitchen. I also loved the price! I have oriental rugs over my whole house, but I wanted expensive looking inexpensive rugs for my kitchen and dining area to accommodate my new grandchildren. These are the perfect solution for that. Magic Carpet.

We love this carpet. The colors in the carpet were exactly as described and matched the picture. This is our 4th Safavieh brand carpet. They wear like iron, maintain color and lay flat on the floor. The cotton backing is important. Its a very smooth reverse side to protect the hardwood floors. Very little shedding when first unrolled. Love to walk barefoot on it.

Colors didn't work

This rug had a lot of green in the design and the gold looked to bright (toward mustard). There was no blue as one persons review said. It was a tiny bit of black. Anyway, it might work in a room where green accents and mustard gold work. But it looked awful in my room. The quality is thick and plush. So no complaints with the brand. I will return it and try a different rug.

Pretty...BUT...

Received the rug and it is beautiful but I was expecting the gold color to be gold, not mustard gold. The rug is wrinkled and has remained wrinkled. One corner is almost out of square and lays strangely. The wrinkles are FINALLY starting to subside However, with all that being said, I still like the rug. Luckily, the mustard gold color still worked and I didn't have to return the rug. Thankfully, since it would be a LARGE item (and expensive) to return. The rug sheds horribly but I'm hoping it will finally subside. We bought four rugs from overstock.com and are very pleased with them but they ALL shed a LOT!!! The quality of the rugs are very good and I'm pleased overall. Did love the prices!!!!

Another gorgeous rug!

This was my third rug purchase from O and like the others, it is positively gorgeous. I feel so lucky to have such beautiful rugs in my home. However, this time, my marveling over the beauty switched to dismay when I spread it in my living room. I really goofed. It is so tricky evaluating colors on a monitor, that I have studied reviews for "sister" rugs in each line trying to avoid any "mistakes" so I wouldn't have to return or, as so many have said, keep it someplace else other than planned. I worried over the red and green shades. The deep red that a reviewer called wine is perfect. The several shades of green blend nicely; especially the principal green, which is pretty much a true grass or crayon green, could not be better. I should have been more concerned about the primary color, gold. On my monitor, it looked lighter and reviewers mentioned that it was a little lighter than it appeared, so I went for it expecting it to be more beige. Yes, it is a tad lighter
