The Eveland Hand-Knotted Leather Rug is truly unique and adds a distinctive flair to my room. The leather texture feels durable and gives the rug a modern, rustic look. It does take some time to settle flat after unrolling, and the smell is a bit strong initially, but that goes away after a few days. Overall, its a stylish and well-made piece that stands out.

The rug was packaged in thick plastic, securely taped, tied with twine rolled onto sturdy cardboard tubing. The description showed variegated color which was what I wanted to match one I purchased about 20 years ago. Overall I’m pleased with the rug it works for the area.

This rug was unique due to its leather shag design. However, it was not functional as an entryway runner but could work well if you don’t place it in a high traffic area. It was uncomfortable to walk on as it presented an uneven walking experience. Needless to say… I returned it!

Ordered this same rug several years ago. Wanted to refresh the room due to my bad dog. Ordered same size and color. Brown. First photo is stock photo showing. Out of my first rug and what I ordered. Second photo is what arrived-almost a dark, chocolate brown. :(

Great aesthetic, poor workmanship

I loved the idea and aesthetic of this rug, but the workmanship left a lot to be desired. The leather strips weren't securely sewn or looped into the rug and easily/frequently came off. Not such an issue before children, but definitely a safety hazard for little ones who love to crawl and put things in their mouths. We had to get rid of it when our daughter started crawling.

THE RUG OF MANY COLORS

I have had several of these leather strips rugs, but none by Safavieh. This rug looks exactly like the picture. To be sure this would fit my tiny bathroom, I measured first and it fits perfectly! This rug is thicker than the other rugs I've had before. I love it! It does have a smell when you receive it, but it's not a bad smell and it will disintegrate over a short period of time. This is a spot-clean rug, but because of all of the colors, a spot is really not noticeable. Just use a clean cloth and water. I love the contemporary look of the rug and you probably won't see anyone else with this rug. That's why I like it! It was a great purchase for me!

Poor Quality and Arrived Dirty... Do not recommend

Order 2 of the multi colored runners size 2x9. The items shipped separately although purchased together. One arrived yesterday and one arrived today. Both rugs were dirty. I opened the packages, shook the runners out, and trapped dirt fell to the floor. Furthermore, the size of both rugs is not equal although they should have been the same size. The material says leather however the strips are suede on both sides with a few leather strips scattered throughout. Some of the strips, really it is scrap fabric is very worn and shredding. I have had both runners for less than 24 hrs... strips are coming off, the runners arrived dirty, different color variations, its suede not leather, and the sizes are off. Disappointed, nice concept, poor craftsmanship, and item description.

I wanted this for an 'artsy look' it was going in my den underneath the coffee table . it definitely looks different and will add some fun texture to the room . the colors are more muted than I thought they would be -but still 'overall' interesting! It has a strong leather odor that I think will eventually fade -but if you are going to use this to walk on in any capacity- forget it . you would be more comfortable walking barefoot in your gravel driveway. This would be for aesthetic appeal only and it would not be a good entry rug either because it would be difficult to clean. I do like it -I am glad I bought it -the price was good and it came very quickly! I gave it four stars because I wanted the colors to be a little brighter and also I realize that this is a 'limited use rug '-like I mentioned it would not be good for walking on.
