This thing is a monster to put together but looks great and seems like it will work well. Innerds are cardboard, but looks good for the price.

Wow - I've rarely felt as frustrated as I felt trying to follow the diagram only instructions for assembly. The parts list would have been helpful if ANY of the parts had actually been labeled to match the letters in the diagrams. It took two of us to interpret and assembly over a couple of hours. I would NOT recommend purchasing this item based on the assembly instructions. Also be aware that the shelving is ALL cardboard.

Awful

I was super excited when ordering this shelf. When it arrived, I was thinking it would be good quality because the box was heavy. When getting ready to start putting it together, the instructions were not super clear, nor were the parts labeled for you to know what was what.

See earlier comments. Materials are cheap, poorly constructed, and poorly designed.

Once the thing is completed, it looks really nice. The covers for the corrugated cardboard make it shine. The main issue I had was that the pilot holes on the backing were 2 mm off, therefore I could not see where to drill or punch down. That also made the notches off as well . Another issue I had was that the directions are all pictures and don't have any words. There are a couple of steps that would have been a lot easier if there were just a couple simple sentences. Overall though, I'm glad that it is built now and that the nightmare of putting it together is over.

office mailer

it was very difficult to put together and it isn't made with good materials-should send it back. Holes don't match up, sides are tin and books are cheap cardboard.

Safco Value Sorter Literature Organizer

The unit is very nice. But can not lable the slots. The space provided does not allow you to insert the lables provided. Not happy with this item. Defeats the purpose to lable slots in order to find what you are looking for.

Love this!

Even though the inner parts are cardboard, with the steel frame and support shelves, this is sturdy! As I expected, assembly took some time, but nothing difficult.

Not All Wood

This was priced very well and will work in my classroom. I was disappointed about the corrugated fiberboard shelves. They are somewhat flimsy. It was hard to get the many pieces together. It will work though. I would buy this item again.

This will work for what I needed short term. There are a lot of pieces to put together, and the shelves are cardboard so I would not recommend this if you are needing to put a lot of mail/documents in the shelves. Also, I found the labels difficult to get in and out (they are changed a good bit), so I found it conducive to purchase separately the peel and stick shelf/bin plastic labels.

Extremely Disappointing

The description of this product is a lie. My company and I were searching for new employee mailboxes that was sturdy. I came upon this product and tried to thoroughly read the description which, at first, didn't know whether it was steel, wood, or "high-quality fiberboard". I ordered it with high hopes just for it to arrive and it was flimsy cardboard that not even the U.S. Postal Service would use to ship their enemies packages. As a huge disappointment, I called to send it back and the agent was not concerned in the slightest to why I wanted a return, just to get off the phone regardless of how polite I was. As a first time buyer with Overstock, this was such a horrible experience that our company of over 100 employees will be sure to stick with any daily purchases through Amazon. Occasionally Amazon may have a higher price, but I rather pay a higher price than be lied to. There is, and will be, no good references from us regarding Overstock.

Horrible

I've put together a lot of furniture and office pieces before, but this is by far the worst! It bent easily, was crooked, and the holes did not line up. Horrible craftsmanship! I'd send it back, but it's in pieces. I'll never but from this manufacturer again.

Do Not Buy

On the website, this organizer seemed to be just what I needed. I bought a metal organizer because I thought it would be sturdier than one made of MDF. Wrong. Once the organizer is put together it is very wobbly. I'm thinking about screwing it to the wall to make sure it doesn't tip over. The unit was extremely difficult to put together. Holes didn't align, shelves didn't fit in properly. The little brackets to hold the shelved don't have enough of a little tab so they keep falling out of the slot. The plastic on the sides of the shelves gets in the way of settling the shelf on the holders. The shelves themselves are very flimsy and don't sit properly. For the amount of money this organizer cost the quality is very poor. I'd ask for my money back except we had to have something right away. We are stuck with it.

OMG, BAD DEAL!!!

This is not worth $319. The parts do not fit together properly. A screw was missing. The directions are not directions. The parts are not labeled. The corrugated shelves are not sturdy. This product should be priced at $15.00. I bought 2, both will be returned.

If you're looking for a cabinet to organize documents neatly, while still being able to quickly access and retrieve them, then search no more, this cabinet is it! However if you're also looking for something sturdy and long lasting, then there is lots of room for improvement! While the frame itself is made of metal, the remaining parts are made of plastic, fiberboard for the backing, and cardboard for the shelves themselves. I was disappointed at first, especially that it wasn't easy to assemble at all (and I have assembled lots of IKEA furniture around the office and house)! But then I decided to treat the cardboard shelves with an insulating transparent spray, essentially to water proof them, thus delaying sagging as the cardboard picks up moisture in the air over time... And do not forget to anchor the cabinet to the wall and/or angle it towards the wall, so that it does not tip over. Overall it's was a good purchase, functional, and space saving.
