Outstanding experience, good product

The item arrived extremely well wrapped and with great care by the shipment delivery agent locally. Color is a teensy darker than the photo..but matches the massive library table also from Toscano. No scratches......screws or other poor workmanship notes. We love the piece. Note that the provided keys are required to open the drawers as there are no handles, but they are stout my only complaint. I give this an earned 5 stars. The price with the savings code is fair. Otherwise it would have not been a good value. The durability is questionable...but we will protect the writing surface...it is not a hardwood piece.

Caution

As a desk, it works. Caution: the desk was not constructed as explained. There was no shelve in that cabinets and there was no key to open the drawers. The cabinet doors do not close properly.

Beautiful desk but....

This desk is definitely a beautiful piece. I think due to the fact that it is made in China, there are many painted-over indentations, scratches, small holes in some of the wood. These can be overlooked since the desk is supposed to be a reproduction of an 18th century desk. The price is very good with sale discount. I looked around for a similar desk and could find nothing under $1500. Overall, a nice piece.
