Too bad because they are so pretty
I bought 4 of these to mix into my dining room and two of the four backs have given way. So they aren’t as comfortable and creek. We are adults with teen kids and the chairs are used but not abused. I tried to replace them but when a replacement arrived for 100’s more than my purchase just a year prior the dye lot was too different and I had to return. So now I just have 18 month old chairs that are in need of a craftsman to fix. I never write reviews but don’t buy these especially considering their current price and the likely hood that the back support will give out making the chair far less comfortable.
I fell absolutely in love
I fell absolutely in love with these chairs and had to have them. After a very, very long wait (with uncertainty if they ever would arrive!) they arrived (5 of them). My husband and I unpacked them with great anticipation only to be sorely disappointed. The chairs we got did not look like the chairs in the pictures on the L & G site. Yes, they are the same style but the leather, rather than soft and buttery (as in the pictures on the site) is very dry, grainy and "pebbly"--like it was chosen from very poor quality leather. The wood, rather than smooth and shiny, is dry, almost brittle in appearance and the stain is unevenly distributed. We are trying leather and wood conditioners to see if the chairs we have can be made to look restored and beautiful like the chairs on the L & G site. So far, I have not found a magic potion. As cool as these chairs appear to be, I can't say I would recommend them because what you get is very different from what is shown on the L & G web site. I'd give 2.5 stars if the system allowed me.
Quality not as expected
The chair feels very cheap. The wood frame is very light and the leather is faux leather and feels very rough and plastic-y. There is also some discoloration on the seat and it came with a crease. It also came very poorly wrapped.
