Ferguson/Build.com Is Better Than This

What a waste. These great, high-end pulls arrived looking like they'd been through a cycle in a clothes dryer. I ordered in excess of 50 of these pulls in various sizes. 48 of them arrived damaged from mishandling. The sealed plastic packets they were put in at the factory had perforations and numerous indentations from apparently being thrown around. The pulls had scrapes, scars, indentations, dings and chips all penetrating the finish. I initially thought it was a shipper issue. The replacements that were sent were in worse condition. It was obvious they were damaged before they were packed to be shipped. The "supplier(s)" Ferguson/Build.com uses for these does a very poor job of handling them when they receive them and an equally poor job of packing them for shipment to customers. I checked with Emtek to see how they are packed when they ship them to their dealers. They told me the pulls are put in sealed clear plastic packets and each is inserted in an individual slot in specially made boxes. This keeps each one separated, preventing damage. I imagine Ferguson/Build.com uses the same "supplier(s)" for other Emtek pulls so I would be leery of ordering any Emtek pulls through them. This is very unfortunate. I've used Ferguson/Build.com or one of it's incarnations for a decade and a half and never had a significant issue. Their customer service associates have always been outstanding as well. It's unfortunate that they are allowing a "supplier(s)" who doesn't properly supervise it's employees, damage the reputations of both Ferguson/Build.com and a fine product like these Emtek pulls.

The Emtek trail pull is solid brass with durable brushed nickle finish. There are no sharp corners to content with and no unsightly pitting, even after eight years in a humid environment with no air conditioning. Stainless steel is no match for this material. I tried solid stainless handled in one bathroom; within two years, I found pitting that requires maintenance to prevent eventual corrosion. Emtek Trail Pull cabinet handles are modern yet subtle and stately. Installed throughout my entire house (except one bathroom) to achieve understated elegance, at least in the cabinet handle department. Highly recommend.

Orders were delivered on time

I ordered numerous Emtek cabinet pulls with different sizes. These are not stocked items so it takes a little longer for delivery (1 to 2 weeks longer). They are heavy and good quality pulls. They look great with the high gloss MDF kitchen cabinets. The delivery was fine as well.
