Sauder August Hill L-Shaped Desk | Review

I love this desk. It's has a sleek contemporary feel, nice mystic oak touch, and black accent top. Assembly was a pain but very worth it. Some components parts like D14 and CC require replacement ASAP.

This desk is of inferior quality. The desk was falling apart as it was being put together. I had to glue some of the finishing back on. A washer for the file cabinet was missing, so that is still not put together. The bottom piece will not stay up. Do not buy this desk. You will regret it.

Love the look of this desk. It's also fairly sturdy.

Easy to assemble. All the parts were there and the instructions clear. It's not heirloom quality but well built for the price.

Beautiful but poorly made.

Giving this desk 2 stars because it is a really pretty desk and the instructions were great. However it is very poorly made. Maybe I just got a bad one but holes didn’t lines up for several pieces, screws were entirely too long causing them to pop out and break in several areas. I’m very disappointed as I really do love the look of this desk. That said, Target has been very helpful with helping me process a return. The desk is already fully assembled so returning it to a store is impossible so they’ve helped schedule a pickup with a freight company with the desk as is. I will be ordering a different, similar version in hopes it made better.

[Rewarded Review] Reinforce It

I returned this desk and bought another one here at Best Buy. The problem that I had with it was that it wasn't sturdy enough for me. If you buy this desk make sure to also buy L-brackets to reinforce it once you've assembled it.

Beautiful Desk

Love the desk. It's so pretty. The only reason I gave only 4 stars is because it was missing some of the hardware and my husband had to improvise to get it put together. Other than that, I love it!!

[Rewarded Review] Overpriced for what you get

I bought this desk about 6 months ago and the bottom shelf has already broken out. I got a replacement part but at this point the structure of the desk is failing. I asked the company for a replacement desk and apparently their policy is part replacement only. Do with that what you will.

Home office desk

I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase. It’s elegant, yet functional. Beautifully designed and looks more expensive than it was. If you’re on the fence, don’t be, BUY it, you won’t be disappointed!

Nice desk. Incredibly heavy.

Nice farmhouse look. Perfect for what I needed. Wish the lower shelf could hold a printer. Directions were funny with the little side comments they printed in there.

Beautiful desk

Great for the home office. Takes a while to assemble but not difficult. Same issue I've had with most desk is the drawer guide rails tend to detach rather easily. I need to repair on of the rails. Overall a good desk at this price point

The perfect desk!

The desk is gorgeous and well exceeded our expectations on quality for the price! Worth every penny and minute it took to assemble. Instructions aren’t super clear and some pieces weren’t marked but everything was in the both and in perfect condition. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this desk. I absolutely love it!

Nice product but bad quality assurance

I got the desk and it's a nice desk but the shelf was shipped without the proper holes drilled out and I had to wait 8 days for a new one to be shipped. Very frustrating

Visually appealing, functional, built as well as most. Would be nice to have a pull out drawer for small items but drawers are available for about $60 on Amazon. Assembly was a little time consuming but fairly straightforward.

when i rcvd my pkg i was so excited…. only to open and find parts that didn’t go and parts that were not labeled and had to guess where they went. the actual wood is sturdy the desk would have been beautiful if all the parts were together. the drawer knob ring falls off every time i open the drawer and i have to open it with my fingers and it’s so hard .

The desk was pretty straightforward to assemble and it beautiful. It is the perfect size for what I needed, more of a mid-size desk.

Love the desk, looks great and very functional. However, one part was damaged but since it is not visible I didn't care too much about it.

I haven’t even opened the box and I’m disappointed

The way they delivered my desk was awful- the box is damaged they left it on the first floor when I do not live on the first floor and I do not have an elevator so I could not lift it myself. Parts of the desk were falling out of the damaged box. I don’t even know if I like the desk yet but the delivery was terrible.

The most unpleasant building experience

This was easily the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had building furniture and I’ve built quite a bit. It especially says a lot when I think IKEA furniture is much easier than this. The overall design and lack of extra materials due to common mistakes anyone can make was also a big downfall. It took me approximately 6 hours to build this even with a power drill.

Really beautiful

I got this desk for my home office. I love that I can have one side for my work monitors and one side for my personal laptop. It is a great size and was easy to put together.

I am very happy with my purchase! the details and quality of it is nice. I am pleased with it especially for the price it cost. I just found it difficult to assemble but i still give it 2 thumbs up !!
