Attractive and sturdy

This is one sturdy piece of furniture!

The file was fine once I got it together. The getting it together was the hard part. Started off not getting a packet of 26 screws, so I could only get to step 3. Went on line to the Sauder website to put in a order for missing screws and got them within a week. Finally got the whole thing assembled and found the drawers weren't fitting right. The sides of the file cabinet had stickers on them that had up arrows so I thought that was the top. Apparently not. Had to take the top and bottom off and and flip it over. Got it back together then the drawers slid in fine. I thought some of the screws could have been longer because they stripped out of some pre drilled holes when attaching the drawer guides. Ended up using some longer screws I had. I guess at least the wife is happy with the finished product.

Spacious filing cabinet!

All the pieces were labeled, making assembly a cinch. Having an extra set of helping hands does make it easier. The instructions were great, so after 35 minutes, we had a good looking filling cabinet.

Low budget

This is a cheaper product, on a low budget. It has one review and now with mine, it makes two. It has the same issue. The file cabinet lock doesn’t close because it does not line up with the groove, so that the lock inside can grab the groove. That is poor workmanship and laziness in the part of the person/persons that are suppose to check. Now my husband has to invent a solution. I would not recommend because the purpose was to have a lock and now that can’t be used. I would buy only if you have the patience to return it if not happy.

Previously gave a 2 star rating as I was unable to set up a front to back filing system as shown in their photos. I commented that I would update my rating if resolved. Was unable to update so doing a second review.

Good Size and Color

Easy to put together and beautiful color, just what I was looking for. However, the picture shown shows the hanging files facing forward, one of the main reasons I bought this product. The letter size hanging files will not fit facing forward so I had to put them the other way. Not really what I wanted, but it will work.
