better homes and garden montclair desk is same thing. exactly.... said both names for this sauder desk on package yet 85 dollars for better verse the 336 for sauder absolutely absurd.

Well designed

Product was well designed and instruction pictoral manual easy to follow. Despite being well packaged My desk was manufactured on 11/2020 and during transit some minor damage was caused to the top corners of the side panels where they abut against the back panel (A few mms of laminate missing on right side) There were also insufficient number of 1/2 inch flat screws ((Hardware item 26) in the pack - so I had to use some of my own to screw the drawer side rails en situ Otherwise happy with your product.

not worth the price

I've used this desk for two days and the veneer is already peeling off the front. It seems like there's a real lack of quality control overall with it. It took three hours to put together with two people working on it. The dowels don't fit tight so most of them fall out when you're trying to put pieces together. Not all of the pieces were labeled and the ones that were had been placed on the edges of the boards and were hard to find. The instructions label things like "side with less holes" so you have to examine things closely to make sure you're doing it right. Most of the holes aren't drilled very well either so it's easy to ruin the veneer just constructing it. Consequently, the drawers are crooked so I'm going to have to tinker with them just to use them. It's not unexpected to have to adjust them some but these are laughably bad. Honestly I'd return this if I could. There are better desks out there for a lot less money than I just wasted on this. It's too bad because I really love the style.

It's a beautiful, solid desk. It is a major project to put it together but the directions are good.

Great desk for $250

Really sturdy walnut desk, very high quality, and smooth drawer system when properly assembled. Good buy for $250 that I paid

This desk looks very nice and us beautiful but is a pain to assembly. There were many pieces unlabeled and instructions are unclear. If I knew how hard this desk was going to be to assemble I would have bought another desk.

Uses sharpie to label a piece

Looks great! Although I'm very annoyed that I bought a new desk, and kinda pricey, and instead of labeling a piece with a sticker, like all the other pieces, they used a SHARPIE to write the letter E.

Desk is sturdy and well thought out. Cabinet doors can be a little finicky to get aligned, but that's no different than any other type of furniture. Large file drawer on the left needs a little extra pressure to close. Desk is large and comfortable. I love that that back is finished so it doesn't look odd if you decided to put it in the center of the room or facing a direction in which the rear is exposed.
