This is my second purchase of one of these. Good quality lock easy to install was short a couple of screws but they were the long ones for the strike so easy to find non-matching replacements. Only other possible negative I can talk about is the lock knob is not solid and is pressed in so if something snags that it can break off like it did with the first one I bought and because the knob is pressed in you can’t just replace the knob hence the purchase of the second one. I still gave it 5 stars because in normal mounting situations that knob should be really hard to snag I used the lock for a sliding barn door on a work shop so my application for the lock contributed heavily to the issue lol

Left or Right Habded Door licks

It would be great to trust the locksmith that installs these deadbolt locks based on left or right handed doors. My locksmith who owns a local hardware store saw photos of my lock and had me purchase a right handed lock for my left handed door (the way it swings open from the outside). I didn't realize it until he left and I went to try the lock (red flag when they don't test it in front of you). When you turn the knob from inside, the brass bars lock from bottom to top (making it easy to slip a flat object to pry open). When locking from outside, you turn key away from door which is opposite from direction needed to secure door after you leave. The slam lock hold open feature displayed in instructions inside box does not exist on my lock but a small slider does with no instructions on how to use or it's purpose. Would be great to explain left and right handed doors require different locks, even deadbolt, before purchasing or paying someone to install. Would have to purchase another lock to have it installed correctly now. Lock looks sturdy, but isn't I attacked properly to protect anything.
