My cats didn’t use it once. I tried to get them to go through it, use the outside, or even okay with it. But they didn’t use it at all. Very disappointing. I’d suggest saving your money and buy them something they’d use.
Not a good product. My cat only used it 3 times and then one side broke and was useless after that.
At first the cats didn’t know what to do with this . BUT once they figured it out lol they are having the time of their life’s . It’s nice to sit back and just watch them being playful
Bought one for our cats and one for a neighbor and friend for her kitties. I think they are going to love it?!
Save the money and do not purchase. very cheaply made. Broke the second day.
This is perfect for my cats. I’ve had one before and remembered how much my previous cats enjoyed the brush and to brush their fur on.
The box was battered and mashed but the arch wasn't broken. After I inserted it into the wholes, I noticed it wasn't very sturdy. I didn't think the ends went far enough into the openings to keep the arch in place. I proved myself right when my cat walked through the arch, and it came apart. There should be a clamp or a way to keep it from pulling apart each time the cat rubs on it. It's a good idea but I haven't found a way to keep it together.
I Wouldnt Recommend This Grooming Arch Cat Tree. My kitten was rubbing against it, and the two plastic pieces at the base broke off. He only used it for a little over a week.
horrible item, DONT BUY
piece of junk. every time my cat brushed up against it, it falls apart.
This is super easy to set-up (a big plus) and my cats like it. Generally, though, it's very underwhelming. Cats are finicky, of course, but mine didn't like the smell of this piece for whatever reason. It would look well in a secondary/tertiary room where you have, say, a cat tower. I wouldn't put it anywhere else - it's definitely not pretty (which is beside the point). 4/5 because it doesn't feel all that sturdy and my cats don't love it.
Amendment to previous review
Well, two days after I posted my previous great review of the product, it broke. My cat was leaning against it to scratch herself against the bristles and the round plastic hole that holds one side of the arch broke in half. It also cracked on the underside. It turns out that this product is pretty flimsy and cant withstand real use. My kitty is pretty bummed because she loved it, for like a day or two. Now she can't really use it. :( I will be asking for a refund.
Great product! A bit difficult to assemble.
It took a day or two for my kitty to figure out what to do with it but now she loves it! My only problem was with putting it together. I had to push down so hard to get the ends of the arch into the holes in the base that the plastic on the base cracked on the bottom side. The arch still works fine so hopefully that crack won’t grow or mess with the use.
Brush arch is excellent for my 9 year old cat. Yes the base is plastic but my cat still likes using it for her paws. I have had the wooden base with thick carpet, but for the price still reasonable for my cats pleasure
Great concept, but it has a factory smell to it that my cats won’t go near. I’m ordering cat nip spray and leaving it outside to air out and I think it may fix that. Other than that, the bristles are tough even to scratch but soft enough to not harm my kitties face if she rubs on it. Great concept, but feels pretty cheaply made
Cute design, not for chonkers.
This is a cute design but on hardwood floors adult cats tend to just knock it over when they interact with it. The default picture is a kitten, so maybe I just have chonky cats, arrives unassembled but super easy to put together.
Great idea. Short on quality. High price considering that carpet for scratching came unglued and frayed after 1 week. Anchors need to lock in so the arch doesnt pop out by cats pushing against bristles. Cats enjoy it though.
Do not buy. It would say that even if it didn’t break after 2 days. The base is thin lightweight plastic and the brush doesn’t sit firmly in the holes. I have another brush arch that has a wooden base - that thing has held up for years! The cats love it so much I bought this on impulse. Don’t make the same mistake I did. I don’t believe the MSRP listed here, you can find this same item elsewhere at the “discounted” price, except without the fake markdown.
My kitten was naturally curious about this. He was a little hesitant at first, but then he warmed up to it. He likes pouncing on the pad more so than grooming himself on the arch. He also likes to use it as a tunnel for when a long string toy is laid on top of it. Either way, it’s a good investment as it keeps him busy.
The arch pushes into the base but the two end barely stay in the holes in the base. My kitten rubs against it and the brush arch pops out of the base all the time. We've only had it for a few weeks and already it's broken. Wouldn't recommend it.
It was worth a try...
Easy assembly but I have put one edge under the kitty condo for stability when the cats walk on it to keep it upright. One cat just lays under it and the other just bites it.
