Down Fiber Everywhere

I bought this comforter not knowing what down fiber was as this was my first. After a few months of using the comforter which was inside of a duvet started shedding terribly. I would wake up with super tiny particles of down fiber everywhere. Small enough to breathe in to irritate my lungs, which has lead me to research duvet lung. I wouldn’t recommend this product. Down fiber and down are not the same thing.

I bought my comforter on Nov 20 last year, 8 months ago. It should’ve lasted longer than that.

Feathers everywhere!!

Was great for a while and then lottlee feathers started coming out and now it just sheds feathers like crazy and the whole room is covered in tiny white feathers! Everytime I move or fluff it a light cloud of feathers comes out. Not good.

No noise!

I am very happy with this comforter. My main criteria was that it didn't make noise. It does not. This comforter provides the right amount of warmth. I would purchase again.

So many feathers + dry clean only

This comforter is sooo comfortable and looks lovely! But unfortunately after only a few days the mini feathers all over my bedroom and clothing are incessant! There is a constant layer of feathers/down on my furniture. It’s absolutely crazy. I can see the down floating through the air in my bedroom. Then on top of that it’s dry clean only. So I took it to get dry cleaned hoping it would help with the massive amount of shedding… but it didn’t.

Not a good quality

Unfortunately, I can not recommend this cover at all. It looses feathers to an extent that my whole bed is covert in down fibers. Also the compartments don't keep the downs in place. I often wake up freezing with no insulation in the middle.

High down content, light weight, and warm.

Purchased this down comforter because of the high down content vs feathers. My mom is used to down and doesn't like heavy blankets. She has a king at home but is living with us now and is in a twin hospital type bed. This new twin down comforter is just what she needed to make her comfy on the colder nights. Very happy with this purchase. When I purchase a new down comforter for myself, this will likely be the one.

Disappointed

The feathers are not distributed evenly so the box stitching squares are all different "fills". The feathers are also coming through the fabric as well as the duvet cover and floating away. I thought getting a made in the USA Serta, I would have a quality item. It is just my husband and I (over 60y.o.) so is not like there are kids jumping all over it. For the first ever, I'm disappointed in something I've gotten from JCP.

Slightly disappointed

This is a beautiful comforter and wish I could give it a perfect rating but I cannot. The box stitching to keep the down disbursed is poor. All the down is separated to the edges with only a few clumps here and there in other places. Quite disappointing. I selected this mostly because of the reputation of the brand. Their quality is not what it used to be

Best ALL YEAR round comforter!

I purchased this comforter years ago and am in love with it enough to come here again and purchase it for my guest bedroom. The comforter is lightweight, super fluffy, and I have yet to ever experience the feathers coming off in the past couple of years having it. It does come with bands in each corner and I do use a white LINEN duvet cover with this so it remains breathable but also warm when in use. I have lived in both NY and FL and they work great in both climates. It gives my bed a cozy, clean luxury hotel look and feel. No, I was not paid for this (I wish). This is my genuine review and feedback.

Leaking feathers

Bought two of these comforters for my family - one in Kohls and another in Home Depot. After about six weeks the feather coming out of the comforters became a real issue - everything in the bedrooms was covered with little feather particles. The manufacturer has real issues with quality control - the fabric that allows feather coming out must not be used. It's not healthy to breath in feather particles so anyone thinking about buying this comforters should think twice.

Leaks feathers

Looks great at first, within 2 months, very small feathers started shedding through the fabric to the point everything in the bedroom is coved in a light dusting of feathers. Looking for a new option already. Update 12/30/21 - ended up throwing away today, shocked at the amount of feathers are poking and leaking out of the comforter. We have been vacuuming daily for the past 4 months and still have a ton of mini feathers all over the room. Downgrading the 3 stars to 1. Waste of money.

This down comforter is perfect. I tend to get really hot at night when I sleep so I have to be really careful about the bedding I choose. Many claim to be light weight yet I will wake up sweaty. However with this one I can safely say that isn't the case at all. Even with the cotton duvet cover I stay cool enough all night. The comforter is nice and fluffy. Great buy all around! Very happy with my purchase.

Great Comforter, Looks Perfect

This comforter is perfect for everyday use while still making the room look put together. It is very comfortable to sleep with and still looks great with the bed made. It isn't too heavy but still keeps you warm at night. The instructions recommended letting the comforter fabric relax outside after removing it from the package and it worked perfectly. I am so excited how big of a difference a simple white comforter makes in the bedroom. Haven't washed yet but seems to be good quality so don't anticipate any issues.

I LOVE IT!!!!! I am definitely enjoying sleeping with my awesome, comfy new Serta All Season White Down 100% Cotton Comforter!!! It's just like sleeping with the softest fluffy clouds you can imagine!!! I never woke up once from sweating and it is August!!!! Very breathable!! I think it is "Perfect" for all year use!! I slept like a baby!! I really love how soft and comfortable it is. I love how cozy it is! So cozy that I have a hard time getting out of bed!! "Super- Duper Comfy!", is all I can say!

great comforter for any season!

If you are trouble sleeper like I am and everything is disturbing from good and comfy sleep you have to try this comforter. Its very light, I can even say weightless you don’t feel it at all on your body, but this comforter will cover you and warm up in any cold day (or if you use AC during the night). Also I want to mention luxury textile soft to your skin. And of course 100% cotton feature. I can speak longer but the only thing I want to say - I am more than happy we have this comforter! Thanks for great quality. I recommend

Fabulous! Excellent quality!

If I were going to buy a down comforter as a gift for someone, this is the one I would choose. Exactly the quality I would expect from Serta! Beautiful crisp clean white fabric. Stitching is superb. It has a tag on it that says 'Dry Clean Only'. Probably best to go by the manufacturer's suggestion. But I was thinking this is made from a goose or duck's feathers which get wet, and cotton can be washed.... so good news: I took a chance and washed it in my washing machine on the COLD temperature, GENTLE cycle and let it air dry on a drying rack - came out perfect! Did not damage it in any way. Actually the comforter turned out even better - fluffed out the feather filling a lot more. It's wonderfully thick and plush now! Surprisingly, it was dry within a day, but I let it remain on the rack for another 24 hours. Please see the photos I included, to see the added thickness. I can't review the warmth factor yet - it's 108 in Texas today. But I am looking forward to using this comforter in a pretty duvet, on a cold Winter night!

We LOVE it!

I was given this comforter by the TryIt Sampling Community to try and review. I had my doubts about this product when I picked up the box and it was fairly light. The color white was also a concern for me. However, after trying it for a week, my husband and I absolutely love it! It is super warm but not suffocating, fits nicely on a queen sized bed, and looks great while brightening up the entire room. I really like that there are separate squares sewn into it as the filling won't move around when washed. This is made from high quality material and should last a very long time. I highly recommend it!

Cool and comfy!

I’ve been using my Serra 300 TC White Down Fiber Comforter-Light Warmth for about two weeks now. It’s light and airy. Cool to the touch, which I love . I actually love running my hands over this comforter , it’s so soft. Sleeping under it is heaven on earth. I do not like a heavy blanket or comforter to sleep under and it’s perfect. It keeps me just the right temperature while I sleep. And I feel under this comforter I fall asleep faster and stay sleeping longer without waking up. I love it, it’s perfect .

Soft, warm and lightweight!

I have always been looking for bedding that won’t capture too much heat or any at all and by far this comforter is beyond what my husband and I expected to use it year round. It is the perfect weight, not too heavy but thick enough to feel like there is something there. It's perfect to put inside a duvet and the material is strong and solid quality fabric cover with strong stitching, there haven't been any feathers coming out. It lays pretty flat and isn’t puffy or thick. The comforter does not have any chemically smell when I first take it out of the packaging that's great because I am very sensitive to odors. Highly recommended.
