These chairs are not unfinished, stain would not take. ...

These chairs are not unfinished, stain would not take. Home Depot refunded a small portion because I had to either pay for sanding or have them painted, chose paint. Now, within the first week of use, one chair seat already cracked. Poor quality, poor description, shame on Home Depot again.

good chairs for painting

these are great chairs for finishing. well made and easy to put together. i used a paint sprayer to finish them and i definitely recommend going this route. i think the details in the legs would make them difficult and unpleasant to be trying to paint or stain with a brush.

Unfinished Java Chairs

Our chairs came quickly and we loved the quality of the wood. These are heavy sturdy chairs with a large seat. Very comfortable. We painted ours to match our new kitchen. I think they will last a long time.

We purchased three sets of these chairs, so six chairs total. Holes were drilled incorrectly, drill bits were broken off in holes, holes were difficult to line up... I had to contact customer support twice to get a leg replaced because of the broken drill bit. When we finally received it, it was two weeks later. The chairs do not take stain very well, so there are patchy sections where something is clearly spilled on the chair under the stain. Overall, I am NOT satisfied with this purchase. But after all the work of having to stain them, seal them, fix holes, wait for replacements and assemble them, they are not even worth the trouble. Do not waste your money on these chairs.
