My home has mainly hardwoods throughout with rugs sprinkled here and there. With two kids, two cats, and a dog, cleaning my floors is a daily task, now made better with the Shark PowerDetect Vacuum! The suction power can easily change thanks to the Floor Detect that has sensors to detect if it’s cleaning hard floors, carpet/low pile, or thick carpet/area rug. Since I have such a mix of flooring in my home, this is my favorite feature! Plus the two-brush roll system picks up every hair or speck of dirt I see! My only complaint is wishing the hose was longer and more flexible, since I have a knack for knocking over the entire vacuum when using the attachments but I’m hopeful this will get better over time. I truly love this vacuum and highly recommend it for anyone with kids and pets!

We honestly all love this vacuum. It has great suction power, lol it literally will pick a heavy lid up with the hose. It helps control odors as we do have animals. It's very easy to clean.

Great suction, some nice features, but...

I bought this directly from Shark a couple months ago. This is our first full size upright with a dust cup instead of a bag. Overall I think it is a very powerful, quiet vacuum that cleans very well, especially along baseboards. However there are two things that constantly annoy me.

Heavy

The vacumn is good, cleans well...But in no way is this vacumn light..very heavy, even when you detach to do other cleaning, the part you remove and have to carry around is also very heavy.

Stopped working IMMEDIATELY

This vacuum is literally junk!! I attempted to use it for the first time today and it worked for approximately 45 seconds!!! Not even long enough to suck up anything! I thought it might be an outlet issue so then went on to check every outlet in my house! Nothing!! So, so upset that an expensive vacuum would be defective this quickly. I will stick with Dyson. And of course I'm out $10.95 to ship back a faulty product!

Works as expected. It seems to be a quality vacuum. It would be nice if it had enough storage for all the attachments on it though.

[Rewarded Review] This Vac Sucks...in a Good Way!

We have had Shark vacs for many years but this one is the best by far. We had just vacuumed a room a couple days before purchasing this one. We decided to conduct an experiment by vacuuming the same room with the new Shark and the canister was full. The room looked clean before but was now it was even better!

This is a great vacuum-- my second Shark. I have both cats and dogs so it gets a workout and is doing great so far. It is an upgrade from my last Shark and I'm very pleased.

Excellent suction power. The machine is clearly the top of all vacuums, the Automatic feature makes it easy to go around the house without having to worry changing modes. Only issue I am having is the XL Brushroll, doesnt fit in between many furnitures.

I'm loving the performance of this vacuum! It sucks up well. I love the attachments it has. I've been using it for about a month and haven't had to do much maintenance.

Horrible customer service

I purchased the pet pro carpet cleaner, put it together and would not work, tried all troubleshooting to no avail, called customer service and they said I had to return it, but they couldn’t tell me how to remove the handle to fit it in the box, after 3 hours and no answers on how, I have to try to send it back fully assembled. They refused to return my money and stated I had to get a replacement. Horrible customer service, will not purchase anymore of their products.

Where did all the dust and dirt come from?

I bought this late October and am so impressed. I cannot believe the amount of dirt and dust when I have a clean home, where did it come from? I am giving it 4 stars for the following reasons. I wish it had a longer hose or one that stretched better. I wish the wand would be in two pieces so when you lift away, you can attach a shorter wand, and when you lift away, because the hose is short and does not stretch, you have to carry it, you cant set it down and work or it tips over. I find it hard (for me) to carry and try to vacuum at the same time. Otherwise LOVE IT. A 10 star winner if a few tweaks were made. All the rest I have no complaints about.

This product is wonderful. Because it is due to its innovation that it has the suction power that allows it to vacuum the dirt from the floor and with its double brush, the hair does not get tangled in the brushes especially if you have a pet, giving you better effectiveness. It is made with a material that allows it to have better durability. In addition, it is easy to maintain to clean the dust container.

[Rewarded Review] Powerfully Machine with Fantastic Fuction for Carpet and More

This machine is powerfull and you can use it on any surfaces( hard wood, laminate floor, or carpet). The only thing i loved is how it work on carpet because it can automatic detect the surface and change the suction if needed. It can take out the tiny dust while my order Dyson not able to do.

The Shark PowerDetect vacuum is truly a remarkable vacuum with so many amazing features and details, you'll wonder how you lived without them. It has an air freshener with adjustable strength, multiple detection sensors to adjust for stronger suction automatically, quality attachment pieces, a self cleaning brush roll, and -my favorite feature- a LIGHTED wand/hand hose!!! It also has a lift away feature for making stairs and high vacuuming on ladders easier and less cumbersome. It has all three settings and the power button on the handle making it easy to change suction settings and turn on or off.

Worked ONE TIME then DIED COMPLETELY! 🤷🏻‍♀️😒

I just received my vacuum and was so excited to get cleaning. We assembled it. Used it one time on one rug and it picked up a lot. Then we tried to start it again and NOTHING! I’m going to call customer service and hopefully have a replacement sent out. I wish I had paid more attention when unpacking as this unit will definitely be returned. What a hassle and after reading all the positive reviews and replacing my Dyson, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed.
