[Rewarded Review] Out with the old...

First impression is very good. I had a Shark Navigator Liftaway from 2012 before this one, but needed an upgrade. We have mostly hard floors with a couple area rugs, and this vacuum is making a huge difference compared to our old shark. I love that the dust and crevice tools are on the base now, so they won't be falling off mid-vacuum. The cord is a lot longer than the older models, too. A huge plus. I love the adjustable speed/power for different surface types, it makes cleaning a breeze.

[Rewarded Review] Strong, Versatile, Low Maintenance

The vacuum has a strong suction, and can take on both large to fine, and even microscopic particles such as allergens. It does come with a Hepa Filter, and two additional larger porous filter stages. Your arm doesn't get worn out from the repetitive motions. Making a turn is very easy. The attachments are very useful for small crevices, cleaning your car, between car seats, and under chairs. I can fully detach the hose, and reach in high areas. It has features that are easy to use, such as emptying your bin, or changing your filter. I have tried this on hardwood, and it works very well.

This Shark vacuum cleaner is a powerhouse, outperforming my Dyson cordless at a fraction of the cost.

Shark is by far my favorite vacuum brand. I have 2 dogs and kiddo that like to make pretty big messes while living life. Shark vertex vacuum has held up and cleaned up all of their messes with ease! It is pretty lightweight for a standup vacuum and has a ton of attachment pieces for cleaning up edges, furniture, etc. Compared to my older vacuum this one is pretty quiet. It cleans up a lot of my dog’s fur and it doesn’t get stuck in the bristles. I can vacuum my full living room and hallway without having to empty the canister. I like the multiple settings for different areas such as the carpet and hardwoods floors.

This thing is j u n k. Light turns off when you remove the wand, so now you can't see whatever it is you removed the wand to get.

This is such an improvement over our last Shark (which was a very good vacuum). The pet hair self-cleaning rollers are a godsend. This is a very powerful vacuum so it takes a bit more arm strength to control but, it does a great job. We have a lot of rugs, two cats and a long hair German shepherd so our average weekly cleaning usually fills up the bin twice. It still does but, it has cut our vacuuming time in half. One note: When assembling the unit be certain to push the main hose into the body until it clicks. It's an electrical connection and unless it's locked in, the vacuum won't run or will turn off randomly. Also, when locking the hose to the body, be careful not to pinch your fingers on the new locking device. It's much better than the old lock but can pinch a finger.

I'm a vacuum snob. I research and try out vacuums for fun. But I have come back to this vacuum over and over again; it's incredible. It's deeply powerful on carpet and literally leaves no crumbs on hard floors. The powered lift-away feature gives you the same maneuverability as a stick vac but with the suction of a flagship upright.

[Rewarded Review] Not what I had expected :(

I previously had a Shark Navigator DLX which I loved. The hose ended up tearing where connected to the sweeper so no replacement part was available. I purchased the Vertex DuoClean PowerFin Upright. This new machine is heavier and the roller keeps turning on the red light when I vacuum over throw rugs (that didn't happen before). The roller also seems to make the machine harder to pull back (even when on the high carpet setting). The waste bin is small so i have to keep emptying because i have a pet. I let the return date go by, but if I could do again I would not purchase this vacuum cleaner.

Excellent machine. I've had 3 Shark products now, the original pet one, the pet cordless stick sweeper, and now this. I've also had their main competitor, with the Ball. I will never buy the Ball brand again. It finally broke and I was authorized to buy a new vacuum, got the Shark without hesitation, and was instantly happen to vacuum again. This model is a bulkier one, not as easy to steer as other models, but that's not a drawback for me. That could be for someone with compromised wrists. It's my only critique.

Best vacuum we’ve ever had. Has picked up more dog hair than we thought possible, even after going over with old vacuum, and it just keeps finding more. It’s gotten my kids to enjoy vacuuming…that alone is a win :). Seriously though, we’ve cleaned the couches, the rugs, the mattresses, the hardwoods, gotten cobwebs & everything in between. Love the ability to pull the short handle, the long handle, switch tools quickly. It’s a great purchase.

Great Vacuum, but Lowes Customer service stinks!!

Bought 2 vacuums and gave one as a gift. The gifted one had a hole in the box, and upon opening, we discovered the vacuum was broken where the front cleaning roller is inserted. It was completely crushed in and unfixable. The exterior box showed no damage so it was packed and shipped that way. I took it back to Lowes, and they would not exchange it for another one. They were rude and not helpful in the least bit. She told me to buy it again, but it was full price when I returned it. I have never experienced that before when something was delivered damaged. You should have exchanged it. Store policy should replace it when YOU deliver a broken product as it was NEVER used.

I needed a vacuum that would pick up cat litter. This vacuum does do this. I only vacuum about twice a week and we have 4 cats. So, it gets a workout. When I assembled it. it didn't work. I called Shark and the person I spoke to had me reassemble it. It worked

For those that are looking for something to clean your hardwood floors , this works great. Vacuums and harwood floors have difficulty getting along and those that have hardwood floor know it can be troublesome when the wrong vacuum is used.

[Rewarded Review] Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFin - Rose Gold

Always had a Dyson. My Purple Dyson has lasted me over 15 years, well the hose had a rip in it and thought maybe its time to just buy a newer vacuum. All my friend swore the Shark is by far the best. Well... I am totoally not convinced. It is hard to maneuver, the collecting basket needs to be emptied more often, the suction is about the same, the no tangle roller keeps getting the "red" light that is stating somethings tangled on the roller, The parts seems like a cheaper plastic.

This is my first and last experience purchasing anything from Wayfair. The vacuum we received was completely used and had missing parts. The box was damaged and everything was just randomly thrown in the box. The filter, container, and the rollers were filthy. I will not be using Wayfair again as it seems they are in the business of selling used goods at full price. I had to speak to a Shark representative to get a new vacuum sent, as Wayfair does not want anything to do with you once you buy something. Luckily the Shark representative was very helpful and sent us a brand-new vacuum at no charge.

This is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. Way better than the Dyson I had and very simple to use. Shark has taken several lessons learned over the years and incorporated them in this model. The filter is larger, flat and easy to clean. The power button is on the handle where it's needed, and the rotor brushes are designed to accumulate less debris on them while propelling larger pieces of dirt into the vacuum. All in all an excellent product. The only improvement i would ask for is a round brush. Rectangular brushes are not as versatile for getting into areas. Offer a round brush accessory and I'll buy it shark!

Let me start this off by saying that we have seven cats, one dog, and two humans in our house. When it comes to couches, I'm sure everyone here can deduce that vacuuming is a regular occurrence. We only have hard floors in our home, so I was simply using our shop vac on our couches. However, when we saw this vacuum on sale and saw its awesome reviews, we decided it was time to get a vacuum designated for indoor use. All ten beings in our house agree it was one of our best purchases! This vacuum works far better on our couches than our shop vac did! Vacuuming the couches (and steaming them afterward with our new steamer) has strangely become one of my favorite chores.

[Rewarded Review] The Golden Vacuum

After many hours spent researching the difference between the shark models and other competing brands, we decided to purchase this from BestBuy for half-off during black Friday. It was the best decision ever. This vacuum has a strong suction picking up literally everything in one pass, getting corners of the wall or low furniture super easy. There is a slight forward pull when the canister is detached, but I find that beneficial in reducing my efforts in hard to reach places (the work is only in backward pull). It is super maneuverable and light-weight. I really enjoy all the buttons being right at your fingers or within reaching distance. The best thing about this product is that NONE of my hair gets tangled in the brush at the bottom. Absolutely zero. My only caveat is that I wished the extension cord was just a few feet longer.. or maybe making the canister taller so that it could be a little slimmer which would reduce having to bend lower if you're trying to reach under the table but are too lazy to detach the canister (I'm 5'2). Just my preference though, I still rate this a 5/5 and have been a long-time loyal customer to both BestBuy and to Shark.
