This bench is made of cedar (an outdoor wood I assumed) and was painted and distressed. They say there is an overcoat to help protect it. The amount of distressing was so deep in some places that I thought I might get a splinter some day. I also think the overcoating was removed by the divot. The bench makes a little creaking sound when you sit on it. My patio project got delayed to the point that so much time went by, I decided to keep the bench. I wish it was a better quality but then again, you would pay much more. So I shall keep it and see how it weathers in the Phoenix heat.

Okay but expensive

This is okay. Was very easy to build, but I don’t think it was worth the price point honestly. I also thought it would be taller, but ended up not measuring correctly for my need.

Versatile Outdoor Bench

This is a beautiful outdoor bench that we painted another color and so far has tolerated the outdoor elements. We decided to put plants on our bench which sits near our front porch and adds some personality to the front entrance.

Well made. Sturdy. Easy Assemble

The best feature: 1- materials are solid wood (cedar) no pressed board, laminated parts. 2- it has real screws and bolts with a standard phillips head (no key/allen wrenches). 3-looks good- I may not even stain it. Suggestion-read instructions for assembly, the legs are milled with a slight curve to match the curvature of the seat. I am using mine for extra bathroom seating

Feel in love with this bench as soon as I put it together. It has been in three places so far and looks like we will have to buy others now for the other places in the garden. It would work well in the sun I think, but I am always a little fearful of it bleaching in the summer sun. This is not supposed to so we will see. Easy to put together, arrived in great shape. Usually heavier boxes get nic'd and as usual, this one arrived in excellent shape. We also find the curved bench much more conforable than most wood benches and if someone isn't comfy, we purchased a few cushions that fit nicely for those that are not comfortable.

I really like the design of the benches and thought they would be great in my backyard. But they’re not even outside a full month and the paint is already flicking off and I’m seeing cracks in the wood slats that make up the seat. Definitely not happy with this product and I ordered two of them.

Needs Some Rework

The HYDRO-TEX finish was not applied evenly. There are bare spots that are not covered. The bottom of the legs have no finish on them to protect them from moisture. I have to purchase additional polyurethane paint to cover the unpainted areas. Easy to assemble and stable

Color Is Not As Shown

The bench itself is built well, sturdy, and looks nice. I did have to touch-up a couple of nicks. However..the picture is very deceiving. It shows the oak as a light teak-like color (what I wanted), but what I got was a dark brown coffee color!! If I had known this was the true color, I wouldn't have ordered it.

Simple, sturdy garden bench.

I am really happy with this bench. It is easy to assemble and a good size. The wood appears sturdy and the finish should help protect the wood. I would definitely recommend this bench.

Extremely Fast and Easy to Assemble

This is the easiest-to-assemble item I have ever had the pleasure to put together. 15-20 mins. total assembly time with easy-to-follow one-sheet directions, plus the natural brown wood finish is very nice. Comfortable for sitting as well! Bravo.

Wonderful product. Exactly as advertised

Wonderful product. Exactly as advertised. Easy to assemble, (all parts inclused all parts matched up) Lovely natural wood will only need a clear stain. Very sturdy. Will also do double duty as a power bench. I am so pleased. Will probably order a third. Thank you. Restores my faith in ordering from Walmart. Have not had very good results in the past six months.

Buyer beware

This bench is advertised as an outdoor “garden” bench. I had been searching for several months for a bench for my deck that matched my deck chairs and was 4 feet long. I finally found this bench and ordered it. It was easy to put together, the color was perfect and it is very sturdy. So out not the deck it went. That night, it rained. When I went out to wipe down the bench, I noticed several cracks in the paint. Huh? Imagine my dismay when the next day, there were even more cracks. Long story short, I am keeping the bench and WM credited me 15% of the purchase price. But I am extremely disappointed. This bench was not cheap, and it was the only one I found that met my criteria after months of looking. I will most likely have to buy some clear spray paint and coat the bench to prevent further cracking. So, buyer beware. If this “out door garden bench” gets wet, the paint will crack.

A great addition!

I bought this to go in a double gated walkway. We use it to hold packages that are delivered and when we unload groceries. I bought the plain wood and stained it with an oil rub. The wood absorbed evenly and looks so great. It was easy to assemble and had all needed parts (except tools). The rounded seat is comfortable.

This is a great bench. I bought two for an outdoor cedar table. The benches are unfinished (and seem to be pine, but maybe that's just me) so we took them apart and have stained and sealed them (and added toppers to the feet so they don't sit in water and rot faster). They look really nice and since we just bought them I can't speak to durability, but they are well-made. Each comes in a large box and you just have to attach the legs.

Challenge to assemble, but worth it.

I bought the bench stained brown. The color is very nice and the bench, once assembled is nice.
