Love my new rockers

The rocking chairs are beautiful- we chose the turquoise color since I prefer bright colors. My husband put them together. Fairly simple if follow directions except doing the last part.

Paiint chipped and cracked almost immediately

Paint chipped and cracked just a few weeks after these were received. Support from both this company and the vendor themselves did nothing to warranty the product. Paint severlly faded to a pale pastel yellow within @4-5 months. A@12 months of ownership, one of the chars has several actual cracks in the "wood" and looks like insulation or whatever is inside the product leaked out and globbed up on all the cracks, looks like mushrooms/moss growing out of a tree break, so disgusting. Had to throw away 1 of these chairs!

Purchased 2 of these in white for my front porch. Constructing the first one (by myself) was a little tricky, but the second one went much faster. I love the look. They are very comfortable, even without a seat cushion.

DO NOT BUY THESE CHAIRS!!! After just a few months they started becoming loose at the joints with barely any use. They are no longer usable and very dangerous! I reached out to Shine co and they have refused to repair, replace or refund the chairs even though ALL FOUR chairs are failing in exactly the same way. Awful customer service, I will never purchase anything from them ever again. I'll be turning them into firewood.

These are great tall back rocking chairs for a very competitive price! Looked at other merchants but these were the best value. The quality is very good and the chairs are ver sturdy. They were very easy to assemble. I have gotten so many compliments. I look forward to spring so that I can enjoy them fully!

The chair is very stylish, and relatively comfortable. I'm not particularly happy with the manner in which it's packaged for assembly. Although we followed the instructions very carefully, the small black pieces which cover the nails did not all fit. Also, one of the chairs was defective in that two pieces did not fit together and I had no choice but to return it and order another one. Since I wanted two chairs I ordered the other one so I'd have a matching set. If the defective chair had been the one we first tried to assemble, then I would have returned both of them. Overall, they look good and I will keep them covered to prolong their life.

Sadly these rocking chairs are very poor quality. We have only had the chairs put together a week and one is falling apart. It was properly put together and has had light use on our covered porch. As you rock in it the whole frame moves. I'm afraid it will fall apart before long. It's a beautiful and comfortable rocker just not built to last. Sadly I don't recommend buying it.

Arrived in Excellent Condition!

I was worried after reading some reviews of chipped paint and such but I took a gamble since the price was right. I ordered two rocking chairs and they both were delivered on time and both were in excellent condition. When you read the instructions it does clearly state to not have in direct elements and your chair will last longer. Luckily we have a large covered porch. We have rocked in them already and they are sturdy but truth be told they are really just for aesthetic purposes and I will be buying cute farmhouse pillows to boushy them up. Easy instructions and does not take that long to put together. I just sat and watched my husband do it. LOL

These are absolutely spot on and exactly what I wanted for my front porch. I bought two and my husband and I assembled both in well under an hour. Two people will make this easier since you have to hold parts at odd angles attach screws. I could have done it myself but two pairs of hands made it much simpler. Nice solid construction. The finish seems durable for an outdoor covered area. Very comfortable to sit in but I still plan to get a couple of accent outdoor pillows to brighten them up. This is a good solid piece of furniture. Very happy with them.

Very Disappointed

Chair is very cheaply made. The finish is inconsistent and uneven and areas look as as if they were damaged and repaired. The holes do not match up which made putting it together a challenge. The end of one of the rungs looks as if it is dirty and/or moldy and it is very rough. Many rough patches over the entire chair. The white screw covers won't stay in - they just fall right out. I should have boxed it up and sent it back. For $120 I expected something with a bit more quality. If this chair lasts the entire summer I will be surprised.

Finish lasted 2 days outside before deteriorating

I've had the chairs 2-black) for about 3 weeks. Within 2 days of being outside the finish has broken down, there are cracks in the chair around one of the screws and they look weathered. I reached out to Hayneedle and sent pictures and have asked for a refund/credit as they are not suitable for outdoor weather as advertised. They have now asked me to return the chairs in order to receive a refund/credit which now means I need to disassemble them and find something to return them in which is really frustrating. I spent a lot of time researching what would be a good choice for outside and read the reviews before purchasing.

Poor Quality Control

The cut out slots were not even (1/8" off) and pieces didn't fit together. I had to decide whether it was worth packing it back up and returning it during the pandemic or retrofitting the slots. I chose the lesser of the two evils and decided to make it do. I don't have a saw that would work in the small slot so I used a drill bit and chewed it out. Took a while but I did it. Easily covered up the newly bared wood with a Sharpie. Love the chair now. Still haven't put the second one together. I'm a female senior citizen who can do stuff!

The rockers came a week late but no big deal. I purchased two rocking chairs and found one was missing the correct cross member. Luckily my neighbor is a pretty good wood worker and he shortened the cross member to fit correctly. The issue I have with the chairs is the quality of the wood. I would say the wood is either pine or popular. I assembled both chairs in about an hour and when I sat in the finished products the chairs swayed a little when I rocked in them.

I researched online (and personally sat in) a large variety of white outdoor porch rockers, as we were buying five for the new lake house. I ordered just one at first, and liked it very much, so ordered four more. It remains to be seen how they will perform over the years, but we are, initially, very pleased. They were easy to assemble, without all the complaints about mismatched holes and flimsy materials that I had read about other chairs. The finish seems to be thick and wipes down easily. These chairs are wider than average, a must for the plus-sized visitors we expect to host. We've already been enjoying them. My six foot tall son remarked at the comfort of being able to lean his head against the back. If anything changes, I'll be back here to update, but I think these were well worth the price.

Not cheap looking, solid chairs.

Just finished putting three of them together. All were white and will be given as Christmas presents to 3 moms with new borns. They weren't scratched or missing parts. It was as advertised. Solid chairs. The only thing is putting three together with the little allen wrench they included. If I were to do it over I would get a cordless screwdriver with an allen wrench bit. After putting all three together it looked like Cracker Barrell, all lined up. (one helpful hint is to follow directions, don't tighten anything but the rockers all the way untill you finish putting it together)
