Buyer beware!

I bought this to use as a stand for my 140lb lathe and at first 2 of the feet welds broke loose and then the legs turned to spaghetti...do not buy this will definitely not hold and is dangerous. QC missing the welds is one thing but the legs should have been reinforced at the bottom just as they were in the middle to carry the weight they are saying it hold up to 700lbs maximum. Just glad I didn't get hurt

Table

Solid built and can take the load of the equipment I’m using it for (lathe), Just the right size and height for me.

Second one I've ordered.

I first ordered a D3640 about five years ago to use with my mini lathe. This stand was absolutely terrific so I recently ordered this one for another machine. This one was meh, OK. The table top was delaminating on one side so I had to use some screws to pull it back together. A strange thing about this order was that I was not able to find D3640 using any search terms I could thing of in the Grizzly online book. I found a link to it on Google which brought me to the right spot. Overall, it's been worth the effort.

Poor quality!

Legs folded under with the weight of a Grizzly 6" jointer mounted on it, while sliding on a finished cement floor. I will have to add additional bracing to the lower legs to reinforce them in the event I ever have to move it again in the future.

I love this simple tool table. I use it for my jointer base. I'm giving it 4 stars because it came missing a few bolts and nuts. A simple trip to Lowe's and I was back in business.

Solid table, good value

Bought this for the Grizzly benchtop jointer on order. The table height is great (I'm 6' 2") and the build is stable. I added some 3" casters and now it's mobile. Appreciated that the manual specified the threading size of the adjustable feet, made it easier to shop for casters. One bummer was that my bag of hardware was missing 2 screws/washers/nuts. Easy to grab at my local hw store but disappointing. Now just need the jointer to arrive!

Don't expect to be Wow'd

If I'd have written this 3 days ago, it would have been 3 starts, but I built a tool stand that came with a band saw the other day and broke a couple carriage bolts on it with only 2 fingers worth of torque. So you get a bonus start for not using junk bolts. The metal portion of the stand is decent quality, though there seems to be a bit of inconsistency in manufacturing. I purchased 2 of these tables (one for my joiner, the other for a small tabletop planer). Table #1: The stand frame went together just fine until tabletop time. It is a little inconvenient to have to mark and drill my own holes to attach the table top, but I noticed something else while don't this. The additional cross-braces they include to allow it to support more weight were not pre-drilled in the steel frame as they should have been. When I got to the last step of putting on leveling feet; one was bent at an odd angle, and another had weld slag in the threads that I had to re-tap in order to fully thread the foot. But all in all a solid table, to support tools. Table #2: First thing I checked was the problems I had last time. Top brackets were pre-drilled this time CHECK. No weld slag in the threads and appeared to be straight CHECK. Little scratched up from shipping, but doesn't need to be perfect. Started going together fine until the shorter leg cross-braces. Looks like they drilled the holes before they bent the steel, because the holes we so close to the bend, the last few threads of the bolts would not thread when tightening because the nut is contacting. Tight enough to be stable, so no big deal. Then the tabletop. Once again, little tedious to pre-drill my own holes. But I notice while I am down there drilling, there is a split in the veneer along one side. The table top is composite material in two layers with an iron-on butcherblock veneer and the two layers are separating on one side putting a split in the veneer all the way down one edge. Keep this in mind if you are attaching tools to this thing. Use thru-bolting not lags, or you will likely split the two layers! They are both sturdy tables that I feel perfectly comfortable supporting my tools, or even standing on top of myself. But the quality that you are getting is mixed.

Works as advertised.

I have mounted two benchtop tools on this table, one at each end -- a drill press and a band saw. Also added wheels from Grizzley. All good, and this keeps my workshop operation compact. One problem is that the table surface was scraped due to shipping damage, in spite of what appears to be a pretty good packaging system from the manufacturer. Also just received a toolbox from Grizzley, also slightly damaged (two dents and two different corners) in shipping. This damage does not effect the utility of the equipment, but it is irritating. By the time the product is unpacked and damage found, it's too much trouble (if not impossible) to repack and return, so if the damage doesn't affect the utility, I just keep the product.

The table is very sturdy and stable . The only problem I experienced was the poor assembly instructions . The sheet measured approximately 3"x6" and it was wadded up and pressed between two corner braces. I was able to go on line and print off a copy of the instructions and completed the assembly .

Solid table..

I bought this for a lathe stand. The instructions had two issuesg the copy was so washed out it was barely readable and the instructions were torn into several pieces during shipping. Other than that, the table is stable and should work fine if the lathe ever arrives.

Nice economy product!

Steel is decent quality and the particle board top looks great. Box tore on shipping and I was short some hardware. Two of the legs were 2" shorter than the other two. Worked out OK because I wanted a shorter table and was going to cut down and weld up all 4 legs anyway. I only had to cut down and redrill 2. Nice table overall.

Does the job

I got this table for the bench top jointer I bought. The table is well designed and not too hard to put together, although some screws were way too long and I had to substitute shorter ones I had on hand. The top has a shiny surface and is made from pressed wood with some sort of plastic veneer cover. I might replace this with a laminated wood one. Casters fit nicely and the unit easily moves about as I need.

Pretty good tool table

This didn't assemble as easily as I would have liked! I even "followed" the instruction sheet. But, its sturdy and easy to move around if necessary. Should be ok.
