The worst table ever

I wanted this table so much that I bought it twice. The first one I returned because the height of the table leaves didn't match, one side was taller than the other. The second one came in a really bad box, full of extra tapes, most certainly a returned item. When I opened it, one of the "wood like" boards was loose, I could see the screws and the holes on the board where the screws should've been. The only good thing about it, is that home Depot took them back.

For the cost of this table, I would expect the extension piece (which makes the table longer for seating 8 people) to firmly fit into the holes provided and lock in place. It does not. There is no locking mechanism for securing the extension piece. No matter what we do, it keeps coming out of the holes causing gaps in the table. It's annoying! Other than that, it really is a beautiful table, but because of this extension problem, I cannot recommend it to other buyers. The table having an extension is precisely why we bought it.

The table arrived just in time for a large family gathering. It looks great and has a good design. Even though it was packed very well, it arrived with one corner point damaged. We plan to use it in the expanded mode which is perfect for 8 chairs. The top of the table when expanded lays flat and is sturdy.

The folding extension of the table Is damaged. On of the angle bracket under table and holding the extension section is distorted. As a result the hinges connecting folding extension is out of alignment and squeezed into the edges of slats. Therefore three slats were damaged. The cause could be a poor workmanship or design mistake (the angle bracket is not strong enough). The overall look is nice but the deficit costs it three stars.

Table top is taupe not grey. Extension section does not line up to connect with holes and pegs. Legs and sides arrived with scratches and the table top itself arrived with scratches. This item arrived looking like it was an actual return. I called Modway and they were unable to assist with a replacement. I tried to contact Houzz and they are not accepting calls so I sent an email regarding the issues and I have yet to get a response. (Attempts to call were made after product arrived and was unboxed.

We have not been able to put the table together yet, but it looks like it will be great for the price.

Don't buy this table!

The table looks completely lopsided and bent when extended. The ends are slanted down towards the outer edges and each different part of the middle section points in a different direction so that the table top isn't flat.

Waste of Money

The first one of these tables we received had a totally misaligned butterfly leaf and also did not open out flat. This was eventually returned after a replacement was sent. When the replacement came it was missing a rubber stopper and pin that connects the butterfly leaf into the main table top. So we ended up taking those two parts from the very faulty one before it was sent back. Needless to say the butterfly leaf needed some coaching on the new one to get it into place and it didn't quite fit, but who wants to box up a second one and go through all the shenanigans of the return yet again. We put the table in our garage waiting for our landscape and barbecue area to be completed. We just brought it out to our patio this week and now we cannot even get one side of the table top to slide fully open at the very last to put up the leaf. These tables are a disaster. They are ill fitting, not aligned properly and now we have been forced to replace this table because while we waited the time has lapsed for yet another return. Do not buy this table. You will be sorry and out of money.

Buy something else

Poorly made. Several screws fell out when it was removed from the box. Center leaves don't line up.
