Greenhouse

Needed an enclosure for an extension cord in my greenhouse. This worked wonderfully.

Be careful, this bends easily.

Made from soft pliable metal. The first one was crushed by a car driving over the box. The second one easily bent when I was punching out the four corner holes. It's not a deal breaker as I was able to bend it back but this is information that I wish I had before hand. If I had known this then I would have been extra careful when clamping the cover down to punch out the holes.

This outlet cover works great. All metal and well made.

installed this for a outside supply to a motor home, got a call that the cover had come off. the deal is that the stainless clips may slip out of position and let the cover come off. put the clip and cover back on now works as it should. caution is do not try to lift the cover past the stop (about 90 degrees from vertical)

Used this to place an inlet for an extension cord on a 10 X 12 shed (for occasional power). Works great. Metal box cover. Good spring. Drilled a 1 1/2" hole in the middle, and caulked the 3 sides for weather proofing.

Installed on shed to use for 50 amp plug. Second time using outlet the door came off. I found a odd shape spring clip, have no idea how it was installed. Door cannot stay on with out something using it in place at hinge.

This is a quality product that can mount to the receptacle or to the box. In my case I mounted it in an indoor box. I did not need the rain tight feature, I just wanted to keep the bugs out when my car was not plugged in.

I picked this up to serve as the exterior outlet cover for my 30A RV plug. The metal is very hefty and does not feel flimsy at all. The hinge and spring are very strong. Be careful as it does not lock itself open and slams closed with some force. It mouse trapped my fingers a couple of times during the install.

I repair ranges, washers and dryers at my shop and needed an outside receptacle to plug in appliances on an exterior concrete slab for testing. I installed a surface mount receptacle on an exterior wall and then covered it with this waterproof cover. It’s perfect! Looks good and works well.
