Similar but not exact.

This motor is NOT an exact replacement to the Lippert motor. It does not have the emergency manual operation option to retract your awning in the event of failure. Other than not having that feature, it does fit perfect and works fine. I will say that the description does not mention the emergency operation feature, nor does it say exact replacement. For the price it is a good motor

Hiddens fees

I'm Canadian and I purchased a awning motor for around 260 US and there was 18$ US shipping fees (UPS). After I placed my order I was happy, but a few days later a received a call from UPS for an extra 122$ US for duties (50$) and extra handling fees (72$) . I purchase a lot of stuff on the web and this is the first time thes fees are not indicated up front before ordering. I felt I was misinformed and was very disapointed in LCI.

Replacement awning motor

Why the original motor died after 4 years is unacceptable in the first place but that being the case the replacement motor was easy to change and works fine. I think it's a little noisier than the original motor but it makes the awning go out and in so OK. At 300 bucks (after taxes and shipping) this one had better last more than 4 years.

Good so far. I think like $65 is a better price.

Only one question

The motor looked new but the description only said tested so I'm not sure it is new. But it worked great and cost less than the camper dealers.
