Sticks out to far for curved monitors making them less than flush. Didn't try with flat screen. All and all very well built, just didn't jibe with my application.

Design flaw

I bought three of these to use with 3 MI-7917 keyboard/monitor trays to wall mount so I could use a keyboard and monitor wall mounted. The design and manufacturing of the product seem quite good. The installation instructions are terrible and I find this true for other Mount-It products. To securely mount to drywall with studs behind, I wanted to use #14 3" Spax screws to mount the unit to the wall. I feel there is a design flaw with this product related to the clearance/alignment of the upper mounting screw hole in relation to the slide lock that holds the monitor mount to the base. Anything but the narrowest shaft screw driver will not work unless the screw is angled down. I was not able use this mount or the MI-7917 so I requested and was granted an RMA to send the products back. Sticker shock on shipping, $75 to $80 for $200 in product. I am thinking about just keeping them and trying to sell on craigslist.

Just what I needed

Very easy installation. Found a stud in the wall, screwed it in. Then took the mount off and screwed it into the back of the TV. It's a 22" so not very heavy. I was able to lift it and get it seated in the wall bracket without any problem. My biggest fear was whether it would be able to hold the weight but that has not been a problem. The swivel in all directions and the ability to remove it from the wall base were really the selling point. It couldn't be easier.

Bulky but sturdy.

A little bulky but got the job done. Installation was not done by me, so who knows if it was easy or not.

I am very happy with this mount

I am very happy with this mount. I also purchased and compared it to the OmniMount Play20 but returned the OmniMount because the Mount-it was just as versatile and easy to use but cheaper and had a smaller mounting base.

Not as versatile as others

This is a very well made monitor arm that is sort of meeting my needs. The biggest problem is that the extension from the wall is not as flexible as other models that have a pivot point in the are that extends from the wall. This requires that in order to get the right height you need for the user the mounting point on the wall has to be just right height so that when the are is extended to the distance from the user it is the right height.

Clean Install & Ergonomics As Well

Purchased 4 of these units for a lab environment. They work perfectly. They help keep the countertops clear of wires and the bulky monitor or all-in-one computer. We are using the Lenovo all-in-ones at some stations and the arm holds up the heavier computer just fine with the adjustment spring. The adjustment spring works great and you can adjust how much tension you want so you can put the screen at the perfect ergonomic level for the person using it. Mounting it to the wall was very easy and straightforward. Caps covering the mounting screws finish off the clean look. The whole Mount-It! system is great. We also purchased countertop pole mounts and they too are great.

Shipping mistakes.

Great product, so I ordered it again. Unfortunately, they shipped the desk mount and I didn't have time to wait for a replacement, so I made do, but i really didn't want the desk mount. I discovered that they are both super quick to install.
