These pans are perfect for deep dish pies, but what we use them for is something completely different. They make perfect steam covers for the flat top, so that you can cover a sandwich or sandwich meats and cheeses.
We ended up using these pie pans as covers on the flat top, and they work perfectly. They clean easily and don't warp by the extreme heat. The deeper pans provide better coverage so the food doesn't touch the pan.
This pie pan is well made and a good value for the money. I was quite suprised at how thick the pan is for the price.
