Spend the money the first time and do it right. I had bought a cheap scale in the past and it lasted less than a year. Now I have this scale and it is so much better.

Nice Scale with Bonus Measuring Bowl

It's a very nice scale. A little bigger than my original Cuisinart scale but not a deal breaker. The fact that this comes with a metal measuring bowl is a bonus.

easy to weigh portions

I liked this scale because it is made in stainless steel.

I needed a scale to measure ingredients for my new bread machine and other food related weights and measures.

Kitchen Scales

This is our second scale, the first one purchased over 10 years ago and two moves. I love that you can choose between grams or ounces. Digital numbers are easy to read. I use it a lot to make equal portions for my freezer portions of food. Some of my recipes come in grams of weight and this makes creating the recipe quite easy. The stainless bowl inverts and becomes a cover while sitting on my counter ready for use. If you have never had a scale, I would strongly encourage you to consider this one.

Unit Displays fractional ounces versus decimal

It seems to be accurate, but its method of displaying fractional ounces is bizarre. Rather that displaying, for example, 4.9 ounces, it displays 4 8/9 ounces. Displaying a decimal fraction of ounces would be much more accurate and useful.

I love this scale. I got the older model for our wedding in 2013 and used it til it “died” a few months ago. So I got this for a replacement and like it even a little bit better. Love the metal bowl and a few more options on the screen.

Not what I ordered

After owning this model of scale for many years, I decided to replace it with a new one, and since the old unit lasted for for at least twenty years, I was hoping to simply buy the exact same model as before. I was happy to find the item at Boscovs and the image displayed was the exact same model as before. When the item arrived, however, it was not the same at all, and in fact was much larger and took up too much counter space in our small kitchen, so sadly I had to return it. In Boscov’s defense, however, they did accept the item as a return and I did receive a credit back for the purchase. Clearly somebody needs to do a better job of ensuring that the item depicted on their website is actually the same as the item they shipped. Since it wasn’t as depicted, they lost the sale.

Improve Your Cooking and Baking

This is a replacement for our first one. The first one lasted 8 years and was used for many different cooking and diet needs. It really improved my baking as by weight made things so much better.

This is a very nice scale and extremely easy to use. I am glad I spent a little more the first time, as it is perfect.
