It says right on this page that it's 3/4" and they blame the product for it not fitting over a standard door. How is their lack of brain cells the product's fault?

As the illustration shows, these hooks are slim. I had to open up the gap to fit on a standard flush door-1-3/4 wide. The hooks I received were more like 7/8 inches wide.

Needing a handy place to hang a wipe-up towel for my bathroom counter, I searched for a hook that would mount on the inside of the cabinet door without requiring damage to the custom work. By hooking over the top of the cabinet, the Evideco does not require drilling holes in the cabinet door and does not come loose over time and with use as stick on styles do. Although it shows slightly at the top of the door, the brushed stainless steel finish is complementary to the brushed nickel bathroom fixtures.
