The quality is poor. The wood is very soft and wont survive if we ever need to move. The color is also painted on, instead of stained, so it flacked during assembly using the screws.

2 Issues. Little areas of discoloration in the finish, and several minor dents in the wood.

Mediocre quality

The fasteners provided were of the poorest quality that I have seen in a Home Depot product. This is reflected in the packages labeled "extra parts". The manufacturer was already expecting breakage of poor quality hardware. The documentation was replete with an error that would have caused damage to the shelf. Cast fasteners broke when they were tightened by hand. Round cap screws broke when tightened too much.Overall quality suffered due to inferior hardware. Home Depot should not be a vendor that compromises quality.

It looks really nice, however it scratches extremely easy. The unit is all wood, but the fasteners are horrible. Screw end snapped of, and the connection heads split apart. Get better screws to complete this assembly.

Very disappointed in these shelves. Poor quality wood and much smaller than pictured. Bought 4 but didn’t put together for several months because we were having the house redone. Return is no longer offered.

I am loving this book case. A simple, elegant look for my home office. I was able to put it together myself with no problems at all. The top most shelf was a bit wonky where it joins, but I just left one of the screws unfastened as not to split the wood. It's really not an issue.

Great looking bookshelf. Nice dark finish. However, some of the parts were dented and the mounting hardware pieces kept breaking off. They did include spares, so I guess it is common problem with previous buyers.

I bought two of these bookcases for my kid's room after looking at lots of options. I wanted solid wood and something that looked sturdy to withstand being in a kid's room. This one fit the bill.

Overall, this ladder bookcase is very nice quality. Assembly went well also. . Very clear instructions…and pre-drilled holes were helpful. . Each shelf, however was marked with part # on a sticker that would not remove easily. Also, a large “ warning “ label which was not removable at all. ( on the underside of the shelf ) . These are visible if not tediously removed before assembly.

Love it! Went together very well and no damage. Only criticism is that there are labels stuck on some of the wood which were near to impossible to remove and left slight marks. If not for that, would have given it 5 stars.

We got the 30” version of this ladder. It fits really well in one of our guest bedrooms, and Looks even better than the picture. It’s sturdy and taller than I thought, which is a good thing. Shelves are nice and wide, giving plenty of room to display accent pieces, art work, books, etc. The design would fit many different decorative styles.

This piece is as pretty as the picture! Took my husband 1.5hrs to build. It was perfectly packaged and all pieces were in great condition. Arrived 1 week early. Its modern yet a little country. Bottom shelf is pretty big to store basket with throws in it. Would highly recommend!

Very nice wood bookcase. Exactly the color as described. Pretty simple to assemble with two of us. A bunch if the pilot holes were missing or off but my husband made it work. Also a bit of scuffing on one side of the framing but not enough to return it. Overall very pleased with the look of the product.

Perfect bookshelf. We bought these to replace a broken cabinet that held dishes, and have glasses on the top shelves and baskets for the lower shelves to hold the dishes. We easily attached them to the wall and shimmed the bottom so they don’t wobble. We also bought another shelf for books, and one as an office catch all. Looks great to have all matching shelf’s, and spent much less than I would have on one china cabinet.

Well packaged. Real wood was lightweight which made it easier to carry to the 3rd fl and looks nice. Wanted shelves that could be used for storage boxes and books in a small apartment. This worked great for both. Needed to drill out some holes before assembly to keep from cracking the wood.

Beautiful bookcase! Bought this for the study and we are very pleased with this purchase. Took a little less than an hour to put together with my husband and I, but it is not complicated at all. They even provide extra screws and anchors in case you loseare missing any which we were impressed with. Colour is true to picture and the shelves are very sturdy.
