Attractive and well-designed for the price. Well-packaged, easy to assemble, and serves its purpose, but definitely not very rugged or sturdy. The wood on top is substantial, but drawer and the slats on the shelves underneath feel pretty flimsy. The whole unit feels top-heavy until you put some stuff on the shelves to weigh it down. Fine for my purposes, but I wouldn't want it for daily, heavy use in a kitchen.

Beautiful and practical; the cherry top is simply gorgeous. The piece has gained me some valuable storage and workspace. I do wish the drawer were a bit deeper; it doesn't go all the way to the depth of the piece, but that's a small issue.

Good quality regarding materials.

Materials used are good quality. Paint was pretty good quality I’d like to see another coat but easy to do myself. Very easy to put together took about half hour. Drawer works smoothly. Wheels would have been nice but then it’d be to tall for my island. I may cut legs 3” and add some of my wife wants wheels. Top is that Thai beech wood which will need regular Pledge applications as from past experience with this wood can separate if it constantly gets wet. Price was fair but shipping was ridiculous! I want to buy outdoor furniture but due to shipping costs I need to find another store like ******. If I spend over $*****. Shipping should be free! Even though I live in Hawaii. They could use FedEx/UPS ground. Bought a couch with chaise from ****** ans it was free. Paying for shipping prevents one from being a repeat customer. This piece has the right measurements had good reviews so bit the bullet on shipping.

Loving this high quality kitchen island! It is exactly what I needed for a food prep surface. The top has enough room for my knife holder and the shelves hold many items I use for food prep. I love having my tools within easy reach. The drawer glides nicely and though shallow, is sufficient to hold some prep towels, flat food scale, collapsible steamer, knife sharpener, etc. the assembly was easy, and I haven’t put anything together for years, so it’s do-able for anyone! The piece looks and feels like huh quality and is a good value! I’m thrilled with it; it is exactly what I needed!

This island is beautiful. It's surprisingly easy to put together and solid, but not too heavy. I bought it for use in my sewing/quilting room rather than the kitchen and it's just perfect for my needs. The only improvement I can think of is I wish it had casters. But I love it regardless! Update 5/1/19: This has turned out SO well. Even without the casters, (which I am going to buy and install - eventually) and despite how solid it is, it's quite easy to move around if needed. I'm a quilter, so I covered a piece of plywood slightly larger than the top and attached it to use as an ironing board. It makes pressing large items so much easier than a regular ironing board. The drawer holds pressing cloths and lint rollers and other useful bits, the shelves are useful for storing my cutting machine, quilts waiting to be finished and some fabric. I am so happy to have found it and the price was right. Thanks Overstock!

Good looking, useful piece!

I bought this piece seeking extra storage in my kitchen. It's a good size and height and feels very solid. I give it a thumbs up!

Awesome kitchen island

My expectations were not the highest when I ordered this kitchen island. It was one of the lowest priced kitchen islands on overstock. But I just needed one for about 8 months, so I didn't want to spend very much. So I was shocked when it arrived and the quality was much better than I expected. The top is a really nice, smooth, polished wood. The white frame is nicely painted and feels very solid. The only part of the whole island that was kinda cruddy was the drawer. It reminds me of the drawers on the cheap Walmart furniture. But since the drawer was just a bonus, I will still give this 5 stars.
