Best radiant floor solution
This stuff eclipses all other radiant floor heating mats I've used in the past. It is so thin that I wound up not having to adjust for its thickness when matching the edge of the laminate flooring I used that adjoins another floor. The heating is very even from the wider coverage printed ink conductors. The only issue I ran into was a situation where I had to join two of these end-to-end, which required some careful work removing insulation from the bus conductors on the ends and soldering copper foil tape, but as an electronics engineer I have the tools, materials, and expertise for that, not recommended for those not skilled and equipped. This has been working now for two months and my wife , and cat (who has now found a new place to lay on), loves it in our master bathroom. I used this heating mat under LifeProof waterproof vinyl laminate flooring with integrated rubber underlayment and it still works very well, no off-gassing. Important to use an insulative underlayment (I used QuietWalk). Less

I'm surprised, the floor feels so warm that I don't want to move from that place where we put the heating sheet. Too bad it is expensive to do the whole living room.

Bought one piece to keep area rug in family room warm for my dog. I can hardly feel the warmth through the rug with my feet. But Fido does. It's is very thin. The lead wires are thicker. I can feel those but not the pad itself. Current draw is about 0.5 A, 60W. I control it using a smart switch.

This is a great company. My house was flooded and after that a few of my mats malfunctioned. I called them just to ask if I could order new replacement mats (planning on paying for them), and Duane said that since the mats were still under warranty, QuietWarmth would honor that and replace the malfunctioning mats for free. They mailed me replacement mats the next day, no questions asked. Very fast and very helpful customer service. Honoring your product and your word matters a lot and creates a sense of safety for the customer. This is one of those companies. Also, my floors are nice and warm! Great product; I installed everything myself just fine.

Let me start by saying I did not install this under a floating floor. I instead mounted it below my existing hardwood floor in our kitchen. I have access below from the basement so the installation was pretty easy and straight forward. Others have mentioned that this is less for heating the room and more for keeping the floor warm to the touch. You will need a thermostat to install this product.

This is not my first radiant heat film purchase. This product will heat your floor but there is not enough power to heat a room. It requires a controller with a thermostat to operate. Be careful and do not nail into this product. It is very thin and does not disrupt the smoothness of the floor overlayment. I do recommend that a thin underlayment be placed beside it for leveling purposes.

We had the 1.5 ft. x 60 in. x 0.016 in. 120-Volt Radiant Heat Film for Click-Together Floors installed during our recent bathroom remodel. We placed it in front of the vanity to provide comfort while getting dressed. It was installed by our contractor to insure proper installation. It is undetectable under the flooring until you feel the gentle warmth radiating up from the floor. It's a real treat on those chilly mornings. Ours is operated on a timer switch so we don't forget to turn it off when we are done using it. I can't wait to see how it will warm things up when it's below zero outside!
First time using these and i'll say i'm very impressed. I have a split level house, the living room/kitchen floor has a 4ft high crawl space underneath it. This crawlspace was not insulated, even the ducts did not have insulation. By the time the "hot" air went through the ducts in the crawl space to the far vents, it wasn't even "luke warm" air coming out.I put these between my trusses against the subfloor. As these are pricey and I didn't want such a majority amount of heat coming from just the split floor and not going to the other 70% of the house, so I did it every other joist. I then put some Rockwell bats against those flush with the bottom of the joists. All I can say is it's night and day difference. Not only that, but my furnace doesn't have to run nearly as much. The install is pretty easy. Though I would say anyone without basic DIY skills would likely have difficulty. Putting it in a crawlspace is very easy. However to install in an existing ceiling/floor would obviously be much more difficult. Talking removing drywall/insulation, putting this in, then redoing it. Less

Toasty Toes and cozy comfort are what this radiant heat film offer! This size is perfect for the area in front of the kitchen sink. Easy to install over your existing vinyl or concrete flooring unless you prefer to tear it out or are in a new construction situation. It is literally 4 easy steps to install. Once your underlayment is down, you then roll out the radiant heat film, next install your new floating floor material and hook up your thermostat (sold separately). It makes the floor warm to the touch only at the area where it is installed. I cannot say that I noticed that it warmed the room area to any significance. Very inexpensive to run which is a huge bonus and makes it easy to just leave on most of the day.

I have tried keeping my wood floors warm in the winter by insulating under my wood floors due my house is on pier and beam and I can crawl under and put insulation between the rafters but when it gets really cold the floors still get cold and while the insulation helps ,I have been starting to install radiant heat film under my floor ,even though this film is for under click together floors , it works well for what I am using it floor . Very even heat throughout .

We've used QuietWarmth radiant heat products now in two homes. This radiant heat product is hands down the easiest to work with, install and wire up to their thermostat. We've now changed all our flooring out to click floating vinyl and in bathrooms have installed the Quiet Warmth radiant heat film. Their thermostats are easy to program and overall their radiant heat is energy saving. It's no longer a luxury to walk onto warmed floors in the morning or getting out of the shower or middle of the night bathroom visits. Even if you currently have floating floors and you can take up a few boards, you can easily slip the radiant film under the floor, lay the sensor under the flooring and connect the lead wires to the thermostat. No one of the floor installs has failed. We're a QuietWarmth customer for life! Less

I have been a builder remodeler for 48 years, and as such I have had many opportunities to instal a product like this 1.5 FT. X 60 IN. X 0.03 IN. 120-VOLT PEEL AND STICK RADIANT HEAT FILM FOR TILE AND GLUE-DOWN FLOORS (COVERS 7.5 SQ. FT.). I will often recommend this to my clients, as the comfort and low operating cost pays huge dividends in customer satisfaction.

1.5 FT. X 60 IN. X 0.016 IN. 120-VOLT RADIANT HEAT FILM FOR CLICK-TOGETHER FLOORS is good product for warming the cold floors. The heat film has a slight learning curve in laying it out and connections. After a few minutes the film layout was simple and the install was completed in under 2-hours. I will purchase this product for install in the outdoor tiny office next on the build list.

After receiving the radiant heat film I realized it needed a thermostat for floor heating! I ordered the thermostat, installed it and following the instructions and placed down the heating film, then covered it with snap together style wood flooring laminate. I only needed a 3x5 heater for my cats bed area! He loves it and can now be warm at night in our barn. He has a fancy floor and bed, he keeps the barn free from rodents and pests and is well worth the cost to keep him happy. This is a easy to install if you follw the instructions closely. Just takes time.

Although I haven't installed the film yet, I just picked up the flooring that will be installed over it. It appears to be high quality and soundly made. I plan to use it as a hall runner from the master bedroom toward the bathroom where there is a smaller panel that will also be installed. I will do a detailed review as soon as the installation is complete.

The QuietWarmth 120-Volt Radiant Heat Film for Floating Floors is a nice product for the consumer that wants a heated floor in a certain area. However, these mats need to be installed during initial construction or during a remodeling event. This is not a product that can be installed by a D.I.Y. The installation requires extensive electrical work. The QuietWarmth install manual requires the installation of this heating product be in accordance with the National Electrical Code by a licensed electrician. Check with your local County Inspection office. Here in Cobb County Ga. a permit is required assuring the consumer of the proper installation. This product is supported by a 25 year manufacturer’s warranty.

I have been a building and remodeling contractor for 48 years, and as such, I have occasion to do all kinds of jobs for clients. One of those is tiling, or stonework usually in bathrooms. When customers want such work done, I’ll often suggest an electric radiant floor using a product like this radiant heat film under the tile or stone. It’s advantages are many, and the cost to operate it with a programmable thermostat is minimal. Invariably, when they have opted to do it, they cannot stop talking about how wonderful it is!

I was initially concerned because the laminate I planned to use over it was very thin and the sub-floor was very even and I was thinking it will make installation hard.Very thin, yet encased in a sturdy enough foil to withstand the microscopic movements of the floor that could potentially damage the whole thing. It was really easy to install, I but radiant barrier below it, because I needed to redirect more of the heat upwards. It doesn't heat the room 210 sq.ft to a point of being toasty, but on its own it warms it just enough to be comfortable during 35F outside. And the best thing about it is that comfy feeling of a warm floor that nothing else can give you. 167 Watts cost at my NE part of the US about $18.50 per month 24/7. Considering the alternative way of heating this room with forced air, this is about 45% cheaper. It's simply the efficiency of a radiant heat is much much higher compared to alternatives.Totally recommend, this is the future. Less
