Hole punched

These could work for some purposes. However, I was hoping to serve wet food on them and was disappointed to see they're packaged with a plastic tag punched through, making it so each placemat has a small hole. Again, I'm sure this is no big deal for some purposes but I don't want to deal with wet food gunk getting trapped in there and growing bacteria and maybe leaking onto the carpets so these won't work for me. Wish it was clear there's a small hole in each plate before ordering.

Plastic tag means HOLES

For some reason these silicone placemats, ostensibly for the purpose of catching leaks, are sold with a plastic tag punched all the way through the material. Why would I deliberately buy placemats that are pre-damaged with holes??

Could be a dish

My boys like to eat on a flat surface for some reason, instead of a bowl. & this works perfectly.

No bowl sliding, so far.

So, my cat is a Jerk with a capital J. All he cares about is food 24/7. When he wants to eat, which is often, he SCREAMS. Not kidding, screams. When that doesn’t work, he knocks both the cat bowls to the ground. I even had the ones with the grippy bottoms.

I use these under my cat's water bowls, I have a couple placed throughout my house and they definitely help with preventing the bowl from skidding, as well as containing spills!

Keeps the bowl in place

A supplemental (to their fountain) bowl of water would tend to slide and move. This placemat keeps it in place. The quality is good. And it’s easy to clean.
