Not What Was Expected

I did in fact receive an N' Joy plant. However, the entire plant was made from cuttings. It came in a pot that was entirely too small for the amount that was put in there. Upon trying to repot, almost the entire plant fell apart as it wasn't an established plant. When repotting, quite a few roots were lost. I'm not sure if it's going to survive. I know there's is risk in buying plants online without seeing them first, but the listing didn't mention that it was entirely cuttings. Very disappointed in what was received

My 4 in pothos was packaged very well, and if it had been rooted I don't think it would have lost many leaves. But unfortunately, several pieces of my plant are cuttings without roots. I was very excited based on the reviews of others, but I could have purchased a larger plant with a self-watering pot for the same price at Lowes when you account for shipping. If the seller does not either send a new plant or issue a refund, I will not be ordering from them again.

I received my pothos n'joy today. Very happy with my purchase. The plant is packed very well, very minor spill, and it is very beautiful, healthy, and full!! I inspected all the leaves, not single one of them bad. Will purchase from this store again :)

Beautiful and arrived in great condition

With the recent negative reviews I was a little nervous. But the Albo arrived in great condition. No shipping damage and the plant looks beautiful.

What I expected to be a single pothos plant rooted in a ball of soil was actually about eight 1-inch-long rooted cuttings, each with maybe three leaves, rooted in about an inch and a half of grainy soil and propped up with straw. The cuttings themselves were in terrible shape and I had to remove half the leaves because they were dying. I also removed them from the soil entirely and am keeping them in a hydro set-up until they get a little larger and more likely to survive in a pot.

This was my first time ordering from California Tropicals and the quality did not disappoint. Packaging and shipping time was excellent and seller was responsive when I had questions. Then n’ joy pothos itself was a nice full size with good variegation. Some of the leaves were stressed from transit but it has settled in and adjusting nicely!

I received Pearls & Jade pothos NOT N Joy!!

It clearly stated it is N Joy pothos plant and even in the picture that’s why I ordered it, I received PEARLS & JADE!!! I totally know the difference between the two pothos plants. I contacted them and told them I am willing to return the plant and I will pay extra as long as they send me the correct plant which is N Joy. Packaging is good however, the plant is in good condition, BUT what advertised is Pearl & Jade not N Joy. They should change that

Lovely little plant,but had several discolored leaves and rotting stems. I think the root ball was too wet.\nIt seems to have stabilized after repotting it in dryer soil around the root ball. Fingers crossed! (I did send 2 e-mails to them, but they never replied.)

So pretty and full

It’s nice and full it does have some brown and black leaves, but I just cut those off. I assume those are from transport of the plant. After a month, I plan on putting it in a bigger pot and putting a moss pole so they can climb, hopefully great success with it as the months go by. I have another plant like this from another company and majority of the leaves died on the vines so fingers crossed that this one doesn’t. I would definitely purchase again.

The plants weren't well rooted or the healthiest looking with brown tips. Not super happy with this purchase. I noticed that it started yellowing and when I took it out of the pot and checked the soil I found that it was super compact and didn't have any drainage elements. \n\nJust repotted with my own soil mix and will wait to see if it'll thrive.

This is my 8th plant from California Tropicals. This is the only one that I’ve ever not given 5 stars. It’s was pretty smushed and wilted. I took out of the pot to check the roots, there were only 2 skinny roots on the entire plant. Overall I will continue to order because my other 7 have been flawless and thriving and gorgeous.

My Pothos N-Joy arrived within a few weeks in perfect condition. The USPS caused a several day delay of the delivery but the plant was completely unphased by the 40° temps here in Dallas. The grower actually provided extra protection with a cushioned foil overwrap with styrofoam peanuts & crinkle paper strips all around the base of the plant. I had not requested any of this & yet the grower chose to do the right thing & protected the plant. As you can see in the photo, this beautiful plant has acclimated to its’ ceramic pot well & is showing signs of growth. Will definitely order from this grower again. Highly recommended!

Item came a bit withered as expected when ordering plants through post. Perked right up in the right conditions and is currently thriving! I do recommend maybe lessen the grip on the packaging, around the plant specifically... little too smothered I thought. But professionally done and definitely done with care?

Packaging: Plant was extremely well packaged! Best I’ve seen yet from ordering plants online! Plant wasn’t damaged at all from shipping! \n\nShipping: Order shipped Monday, and arrived today (Saturday). So shipping was fair. \n\nPlant: Plant is smaller than some in the reviews but it’s fine because I didn’t expect it to be very big. The plant had a couple of leaves that seem wilted/drying up but over all the plant is healthy and clean and makes a beautiful addition to my plant collection. \n\nTHANKS SO MUCH!

Was packaged well, arrived on time. The plant was covered in spider mite webs and had multiple bugs moving through the soil. I immediately threw it out. Bugs aren’t my thing and I have many healthy plants. Too bad honestly. It was a pretty plant.

I ordered a snow queen, silver satin, and njoy. The snow queen is great looking, healthy, wonderful looking plant. The silver satin seemed to arrive pretty good, overall healthy looking plant, but some brown spots on some of the leaves. The njoy does not seem to be doing well or did not seem to handle the shipping well, it has brown spots on very many of the leaves and is essentially completely shriveled up.

This plant was perfectly packaged to prevent it from being damaged by be ing jostled or dropped and from being damaged by the cold. That being said, when it arrived it had several damaged leaves that looked like it was there before being shipped. In addition, it’s smaller than I expected, especially after seeing photos of it posted by other reviewers. I’m somewhat disappointed. However, it does seem to be mostly healthy so maybe with some proper care it will become big and beautiful.

I just received this little guy today!! It was wrapped extremely well for travel!! Great job!! 😁 He made it just fine other than being a little bit dry. I hurried up and gave him a big drink of water and put him in a little dish. I took him out to the porch and got him in the sun. Beautiful plant!! Thank you so much!!! Very happy with the shipping time and the care that was given to the packaging of the item. Great prices and super communication I will definitely be back for more!! 😁

Had them shipped to my mothers house as I don’t trust the desk people at my apartment to be careful enough with such a package. They came all the way to Michigan from California and arrived two days after the package left their facility. My mom said they came in packaged wonderfully, and they survived an additional couple of days in the plastic wrapping around the pots so that I could bring them back to my apartment without making a mess. Now that they’re home with me and fully settled they’ve perked up a bit. The Mini Monstera has a little bit of damage to one of the leaves but nothing major. All four plants I ordered have new growth coming in as well. I got the thermal protection as well since it was a little chilly earlier this week but didn’t think a heat pack would be necessary. Overall great experience!

I'm so glad I found the Plant Swag Shop. We all know that buying plants online is a hit or miss. I try so many shops and this one is so far the best in term of price and quality. The pictures are the N-joy pothos 6-inch I received right out of the box after more than two week being boxed. Yes you read it right, TWO weeks! One week for shipping and the other week was for my evacuation from Ida Hurricane. I thought my pothos would have been long gone when I came back but it turned out to be a surprise. It's so much fuller and more beautiful than I'd expected. Thank you so much!
