Unreliable app

The bulbs work great. The app, however, makes the great work of the bulb dim very quickly. The scheduling of routines, turns lights on but won’t turn the all off. Having multiple color changes during the week, resulted in lights coming on in colors I did not choose. I don’t like having to babysit my lights because of an irresponsible app!

Purchased one and went back for more.

Took a chance and purchased one of these several weeks ago. I now have three. Plenty of pre loaded effects, and the app is easy to install and use. Very versatile considering how many times throughout the year I change the color of my spotlights to match the season

Disappointed it’s not motion activated as well. It is easy to set up. Doesn’t do much for security if you’re away.

Worth every penny

Very powerful and bright but dimmable light bulb that is filled with so many colors and effects. Best of all, it's easily controllable via the Cync app by GE. Many colors and effects to choose from. The lighting was the perfect complement to my backyard. My party guests have also heavily complimented them. In short, you get what you pay for and yes, you will be happy.

A smart bulb that works outdoors

This bulb was a solution to an outdoor light that we wanted to control via our home network. The CYNC (GE) app can be used to set it up but it is not completely clear in how to set it up for coming on at sunset and turning off at sunrise. It is compatible with Google Home and that is also tricky in setting up. After some trial and error we managed to get ours working as desired. We have only had ours a short time so the long term reliability is unknown.

Versatile and easy to use

I was looking for a simple way to control my front porch light, making it go on at dusk and off by 10 pm and also to vary the brightness of the light. This Cync light does it. It's very versatile and easy to use. I recommend it.

Network Hassle

Drops its network connection daily. To reestablish connection must be reset by turning off and on 5 times. After which the entire setup procedure must be performed.

I purchased 4 of these to highlight my house in front. I purchased other but they just were not bright enough. These are perfect and easy to use. The CYNC app works great along with my Alexa.
