This a bed a total quality. Fantastic build quality and materials. I want to curl up in it- it looks that great! Unfortunately my dog isn’t interested in it. She loves to be covered up with a light blanket but just won’t stay in this luxurious cave/bed for more than a few seconds. I’m keeping this for any other dog we may get in the future though!

Seems to be a comfortable quality made dog bed. Unfortunately my 60 pound pit mix refuses to sleep in it. There's plenty of room and she loves being covered up but the canopy is a nope for her. I've gotten her inside numerous times but she comes back out and either sleeps on top of it of on the floor. I even tried turning it inside out tucking the canopy on the back. Still a no-go. She just does not like it.

Both my dogs love this bed. I have a 10 year old tri-paw dog with issues with his hips. The orthopedic mattress has been wonderful. He is sleeping soundly through the night. My younger dog loves to retrieve treats from the cave for enrichment. It took a minute and lots of treats but they also love burrowing in the cave.

Replacement Cover - Luxury Cozy Cave® Dog Bed with Microsuede

I've purchased four other beds like this, about six and eight years ago. They've been great and well made. I needed a replacement cover. The one I received appears to be made of much cheaper material than their previous beds. The four microsuede covers I have are good material, well made, true microsuede fabric. This new replacement cover appears to made of thick waterproof paper. It's very stiff, even after washing, thin and nearly without any nap at all. Doesn't feel much like fabric, but more like there's a stiff plastic material in it. I understand a lot of business have had to cut corners to make ends meet with supply chains being what they are these days. And as they say, nothing is made as well as it used to be. But it's really disappointing for this product to carry the same name, description, and cost. But to receive the paper-like replica of their previous covers is too disappointing. I'll make my own replacement covers going forward. At least then I can be sure of the quality of material. I empathize with this company that they've needed to cut corners, but honestly, I would prefer they just raise their prices. I'm willing to pay more for quality. But to be led to believe I'm getting the same high quality (because it's the same name and description as always), yet to receive lesser quality, it feels deceiving. Go ahead and use the cheap material for the lower level beds, and be honest about it. And if you need to charge more for the higher quality material, please do. But the bait and switch is disconcerting. Anyway, very sad about this cover.

At first I told myself, “there’s no way I’m spending $100+ on a dog bed”…. but finally I caved (hehe) and I’m so glad I did… I have a Vizsla and introduced her to one of the cheap cave beds on amazon as a puppy, and now she can’t live without one. The quality is way way way better than any dog bed I’ve had. I didn’t think a dog bed could be this nice. I got the suede material and it’s easy to wipe clean and washable of course. I got the XL because I wanted her to be able to stretch out, but honestly could have gotten Large, she is a smaller Vizsla, around 35-40lbs. The XL is giant, bigger than it looks in photos. If you have the space then go for it, your pup will get lost in it and be able to dive all the way to the back like mine does. I’m sure I’ll always have a cozy cave in my home.

Second bed - last one did well for seven years, but time took its toll on the inner lining as it was our dog's very favorite place to be. New seems well made and we hope it lasts as long as the first. Advice - though "Large" was recommended size for out dog, we went with "Extra Large" as last time; this makes opening larger so easier to get in with plenty of room to scoot back and leave out a nose, or lay closer to front when he wants.

We have two Cozy Caves in an XL size and our dogs love them. We recently purchased two more in size Large for a different room and are disappointed in them. The filling seems more sparse than the XL by far, and the size is much smaller. I knew it would be smaller but it seems more like a medium size, one of our dogs has trouble getting into the opening. We'll still keep them as they aren't returnable once they are used but if you have a larger dog (40 lbs or more) then I'd consider sticking with an XL size.

I loved, dogs did not

I have 2 very active GSP’s, I thought they would love this orthopedic, more expensive bed. They didn’t. Not a thing wrong with it, just not as plush as the basic snoozer, so I sent back the orthopedic beds and got them the basic ones. Great product either way, mine just prefer the thicker and more plush! These were replacements for their original cozy caves! Worth the money!! My girls are 50 pounds and I bought both of them the XL bed.

We just added our 3rd dachshund. Our dogs absolutely love their Cozy Cave beds. We don’t do crates; our girls feel safe and cozy in their individual beds. I think I’ve purchased 6 or 7 of these over the years. I do wish they would offer a bed with a hairy/minky interior; the fleece really traps hair. Even so, these are the best - the outer fabric and craftsmanship are USA excellent!

I discovered cave beds exist, read tons of reviews online, did not want to purchase something that would fall apart in less than a year.

There are now five cozy cave beds in my apt. It may seem excessive but the reason is to have one in the living room, another in the home office and then three more randomly sprinkled about so that my dachshund doesn't have to fight with the cats who also love them. I think the name needs a rebrand because I often find one of the cats either inside or lounging on top. They must be really comfy! I love how easy they are to wash. Highly recommend them!

I've been using Snoozer cave beds for over 5 years. I've had to replace one bed and three covers. This cover does not disappoint. My pitty-mix dove right in once it was on his bed and he absolutely loves sleeping inside his Snoozer cave bed. The microsuede is velvet smooth, and the Sherpa lining is really warm and cozy. I love this chocolate brown color. This pet bed cover is easy to spot clean, and I love that it is machine washable.

We were so excited to finally have an option for our dog who loves to get under the covers and loves sherpa. Made in the USA was a huge plus. But this was a complete disappointment. This isn't a soft sherpa fabric. It feels more like polyester batting, so our dog won't go inside it at all. He has climbed on top a couple times, but definitely prefers his soft sherpa like blanket tucked over any of his other dog beds. Now that it's opened, it can't be returned. Over a hundred dollars down the drain :(

I want to like this company and dog bed, but I cannot recommend them. The opening in the bed is nowhere near big enough for my dog to want to enter, and it's nothing like the pictures. It's like 4 inches at its highest point... She loves the bed when she's inside, but unless I pry it open for her, she will just lay on top of the bed or on the blanket next to it. I even removed some of the padding to try to widen the opening, but it cannot resolve this problem. I purchased the extra large Palmer Dove option, and given the cost of the bed, I would expect a product that works as intended. At the very least, don't buy this option.

Sadly I cannot return my purchase because I ordered it with my dog's name on it. I ordered the ortho bed because my dog has some spine issues. With the pillow and the foam inserted and even with just the foam, there is no space for my dog to comfortably get under the cover. I removed the plastic arc and put a soft blanket on the top of the cover, and now she will sit on the top, but she prefers burrowing which was my reason for choosing this bed. I don't recommend this bed. I did measure my dog and chose the correct size according to the website recommendations. She did stick her face under to get treats I used to coax her in but it is too tight a fit for her to put her entire body in.

I have a 100lb ridgeback, so I bought the XL. The bedding footprint was massive. A good sign for my large doggo. However, after wrestling the stuffing into the lining, the blanket part was incredibly taut. There is no way my dog would have been able to get inside it, much less fit beneath the blanket.

LOVE THIS BED !!

I purchased this bed for my Potcake dog ( Jacob is an island dog from Turks and Caicos). Hes a weird dog, hes afraid of everything new, but he wasnt afraid of this bed. It took a few times of encouragement to get him to go inside. He went in half way a few times and he went all the way inside turned around and laid down with his head at the opening. I think he was actually smiling. When he sleeps in our bed he likes to be under the covers. Hes been kicked out of the bed because he was being too protective of me when my husband was in bed. I felt bad he couldnt go under the covers. Now he can cover himself. People complain about it being overstuffed. The fluff will settle. Even if it dosent, thats fine too. I purchased the XL and I never imagined spending so much on a dog bed, but it really is worth every cent.

Same experience over filled

I decided after having the small sherpa lined dog cave bed that my dogs just love! that I would obtain another bed that the same dogs that cram themselves into the small bed, having a xlarge bed even better. Two dogs, one super large long 25 lb purebred chihuahua built like a tank and one dainty parti poodle 10 pound giesselle like skinny thing. The bed was so overstuffed literally nothing could fit inside, not unless I found a mini step ladder to hoist them up! So full that the inside roof of the bed was pressing against the bottom. So! We removed three 13 gallon trashbags stuffed full of nice new green polyester filler the kind used for throw pillows. Even then its not enough filler. The cloth used seems quality enough, sherpa is the same as the bed I bought from Snoozer the first year they were selling! I think this is a situation where no one is checking quality. Which is sad, I have enough extra filling to literally fill 4 king sized pillows! Which I plan on finding zip up cushion covers and repurposing the extra filler from this dog bed into more pillows for the dogs. I feel bad for Snoozer because obviously someone somewhere is losing money with all the extra filler being sent out to customers.

I am overall disappointed with the bed! This is our 3rd one in 6 years, and this one is significantly different than the previous ones. I get the XL size for my 55-lb shorthaired mixed breed pup, and they seem to last about 3 years before the fill gets too dirty and lumpy and can't be re-fluffed, and the sherpa lining becomes threadbare, and the hoop can't be convinced to stay in place at all. This time, I upgraded to the orthopedic version in hopes of a longer life for the bed.
