So so soft and cushiony w/o a pad

Purchased sage green 8x10 rug and I absolutely love love love it! A little brighter green than expected but it's still beautiful and so so soft under foot. It has a very tall pile like a frieze carpet so when you unroll it you need to go over it a times with your vacuum cleaner to fluff it up. It had flattened out over night and I'm so glad I purchased this rug after looking for months for something that felt like regular carpet in an area rug version. Definitely recommend it if you're looking at this one!!

I have ordered ivory 8x10 rugs (same brand) from Overstock in the past and the color was perfect. However, this 8x10 in ivory has a definite yellow hue and doesn't match my room at all!!!! Very disappointed and with return shipping fees being high I am stuck with it. I won't be ordering rugs from here again!

This is an amazing rug, it's so thick, soft, and full of cushion for your feet. Very well made and the turquoise color goes beautifully with the beach theme in my laundry room. I definitely recommend this product, you won't be sorry.

Beautiful carpet... doesn't show traffic marks and doesn't stain... easily cleaned up spots with just plain water. We've had it since spring and still looks great and vacuums nicely ... great value! Was a little disappointed with the color... it was supposed to be sage green but has more of a turquoise color .., but works fine with the room so no problems with me.

This was a disappointing purchase. Upon opening up the rug, it had a strong chemical smell, which went away after about a week. There was a sticky residue on the rug from the chemicals used to treat the rug by the manufacturer. Not sure what they used but the rug did not feel clean. Leaves behind chemical residue on my feet everytime I walk on it. After a few months of no improvement, I've rolled this up and put it in storage. Perhaps one day when I have time, I will treat this rug with carpet shampoo to see if it helps.

Very cheap looking. I wouldn't recommend

I really wanted to like this rug, but the quality was extremely low and looked very cheap. The way the rug was folded and packaged ruined the backing and the shag pile, so it is not usable. Overstock doesn't pay return shipping, and the packaging and shipping wouldn't be worthwhile. I will donate it.

Perfectly white and thick fluff!

This is exactly what I was expecting! Pure white, very fluffy. No, it doesn't feel like faux fur, but that would be way to hard to clean if it did. I've got a year old child and we both have made countless spills on the white, and it is very easy to clean. I've purchased several SAFAVIEH rugs, and they all have held up to years of daily wear and tear, and look as good as when I first received them! Another beautiful addition to the home. Thank you overstock.

Beautiful Shag Rug

If you like shag as I do, you will love this rug. The color (red) is bright, just as I hoped it would be. Because of the thickness, the rug appears as if it has a pad underneath, but it doesn't. Well worth the money. I highly recommend this rug. You can't go wrong.

Be careful with the the color "ivory"

I purchased this in the color ivory for my toddlers room. It came quickly and unscathed. It says it's 2in and it definitely is and feels fluffy under the feet. Not necessarily plush, but certainly fluffy. However, there are areas where it is sparse and you can see the dark pad underneath. And my biggest issue? The color. I ordered this in the color ivory. Ivory is supposed to be a cream color. Just slightly off white. This is yellow. An unmistakable pale yellow and completely throws off the esthetics of her room. I would send this back for white, but the shipping cost would only allow me to receive half of my money back when return shipping should be covered by Overstock since this is no fault of my mine. Not happy with it.

My Favorite Rug So Far!

This rug was shipped with two covers on each end to keep it clean and was in thick plastic. I bought the light sage and LOVE it! Walking on it barefooted is a TREAT! It's exceptionally soft and I was pleasantly surprised with the plushness/thickness of the pile/shag. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat if I needed another one. I put the rug 1/2 under my king bed and it matched my bedding perfectly and brightened up the entire room. I put a few heavy items along the edge that had been rolled up the tightest. Took about a day and now it lays nicely. I have a living room rug that cost 3x as much as this rug and I can't tell the difference in quality.

Very pleased

I ordered the Laguna Shag area rug in both 9x12 and 3x5 sizes in Lilac for my daughter's room. Very pretty and thick rug. Most of the other styles are thin. Highly recommend. This particular Lilac shade has a pink undertone which is what I hoped for. Compliments her wall color in "Fragrant Flower" by Valspar. Overstock did not have both sizes I needed in stock so I had to get one of these from another website. I also purchased a Mohawk felted rug pads for underneath and these have worked well. Delivery was prompt.

True black color very plush

Very nice rug, plush and thick but it is not that soft. If your looking for the silky soft this isn't it. It is also hard to vacuum. Even when you go over it several times it doesn't pick it all up I have to go around with the hand piece but that's how most plush rugs are. The huge plus is the affordable cost & it doesn't shed!! Great for a kids room and it is a true black not gray. For the affordability and just being put in a kids room I give it 4 stars. For a living room I'd drop it down to 2.5 stars. I would not purchase this for my living room but that's just me.

I have never bought a rug online before. I found the prospect of it unnerving not knowing just exactly what you will receive. pile height is important to the overall look of the rug to the room as a whole. and shag? well, there were so many to choose from. but clearly, i chose correctly. this rug is absolutely gorgeous. truly. it is thick and full. and so very soft & fluffy. i did add a rug pad underneath, because my granddaughters play on it. it is the right height to keep its look without looking smushed down. the color is a true black; no flecks of any other color. i have received numerous compliments on this rug. if you are considering this rug, know you can order with confidence that you will receive a fabulous rug!!

Pleasant surprise!

Ordered this with doubts! Didn't know if it was going to be a cheap flimsy rug but I'm so happy with my purchase. I ordered a fairly inexpensive ($1000.) sectional with Ashley furniture set that was taupe colored. I wasn't too thrilled with the color but the hubby chose it so I wanted to meet in the middle with his choice. I decided I would dress up the sectional by adding colors I would not normally use. I decided on a black rug and was going to throw in some Ivory, black and mixed throw pillows. Wow!! I got my rug yesterday and unrolled it right away thinking "please don't look cheap!!" it was fairly thick, quite heavy and black as black! no hint of white nor gray just as I hoped it would not have! It was perfect in looks, so then I pulled out my brand new DYSON super suction cordless vaccum and rolled over the rug and NOTHING!!! my canister stayed empty! I was like "YES!" My kids and I have allergies and know I have no worries that there's going to be rug lint all over my living room! don't hesitate buying this rug if this is what you are looking for!
