Garden Bench

I have a mixed reaction to this purchase. The item itself is excellent; more than fulfilled my expectations. I nearly didn't buy it because I was unable to access any customer support at point of purchase. I had some questions, notably how difficult is it to assemble, and there was no means of finding out. Because this was a Christmas gift I took a 'punt' and ordered which in itself was a feat of endurance. I had to supply a photo of my passport! to complete purchase. Not happy with such sensitive information floating about the ether! To conclude; the benches (2) arrived safely and in a timely manner and we managed to assemble them ourselves. This bench did not fit together well, causing it to stand on only three legs! Also, the back was sloppily constructed, with slats poorly aligned and glue residue that should have been cleaned off as it was assembled. Finally, the bench had several dings and splinters, some cosmetic and some (along the seat) actively painful! The return has been handled well.
