Shelf fit perfectly and arrived in good shape. Took a little while but found some baskets to fit the cubby, painted it and it is exactly what I wanted for my entry,

great for a busy mud room

Excellent shelf for our custom mudroom. We painted it blue to match the bench also found on overstock and also painted blue. Holds all the stuff you need a shelf to hold in a mudroom with two busy kids.

Really like this shelving unit and the matching bench! Fit nicely in my breezeway and accommodated some nice basket like drawers to hold mittens, etc

Nice Item but NOT Easy to Put Together

It is a nice unit but putting it together is an exercise in major frustration. The cheap cardboard backing was warped beyond imagination and would not go into the groove when we tried to put the top on. We just removed the back and moved on with our lives.

Looks fantastic and holds all my stuff!

This shelf is beautiful, even in an unfinished state and has enough capacity to hold all of our cold & warm weather hats and accessories. As other reviewers have mentioned, not all of the holes line up very well. So, we struggled with putting it together and had to live with a few gaps and wobbly parts. But, it feels sturdy up on the wall which is great. I recommend ditching the flimsy wall mounting they provide and instead buy French cleats which are easier to use anyway.

Very poor workmanship

I am not going to waste my time going over every problem. Steer clear if you are not seeking to become a woodworker because this piece absolutely requires modification in multiple ways for it to work. Screws will sit at least half an inch proud (over the pieces they should be flish with), 1/3 of the screws holding the support bars were stripped, and more. I’ve spent hours modifying holes and such just to make this work. Look elsewhere if you are simply looking for a piece that requires finishing.

I will start off by saying, once this is assembled, it looks fine. However, while putting it together, there were several issues. The back panel was warped and my dad had to cut into other areas to get it to sit correctly. There was a part of the shelving that wasn't in the right place - luckily my dad was able to remove it and move it to the correct side. Also, some of the predrilled holes were not lined up. Overall, I was not impressed that I had to pay $300 for something that my dad had to alter to get to work. I will not be ordering from the manufacturer of this shelf again.

Sturdy

Good quality. Sturdy. Good price. We used it for our newly remodeled mud room. It did take my husband a while to assemble it. We ended up paining it white to match the trim in our house. I'd recommend it.

Loved that this piece came unfinished. We painted it to match our house wood work, so matches our trim perfectly. It is very sturdy. Hung it over a shoe bench in our mud room and is a very nice addition to our room. Love it.

Very nice shelf. Made of real glued wood, not MDF/OSB etc, the same way as butcher's blocks are made. Very smooth surface, no chips or dents. Every piece is thoroughly wrapped in polyethylene to protect edges and styrofoamed. Used some teak oil to accent the wood texture and here you go, great thing to look at. Couple minor setbacks: 1. there was no assembly instruction in the box. No big deal though, pretty simple to assemble. 2. One wooden pin was not set to place correctly, sat too high off the hole. If tried to install like this - would have broken the shelf. But this was caught in the process, pin hammered all the way down the hole. All in all - great product.

REAL WOOD !!! So happy to get this very hard to find unfinished real wood wall shelf ! Very nicely finished wood kit fready for stain, hooks were preinstalled and so were the alignment dowels. Roomy, attractive, and hangs with metal brackets. Weighs 37.8 lbs and required two of us to hold and level in place. We will probably leave the shelf unfinished because the wood grain is so attractive and smooth. The only problem we ran into was one cam bolt insert was missing so we improvised with two wood screws to secure the side piece to the main unit.

Storage and coatrack for the mudroom

Painted the wall unit same as the matching bench. Needed more hooks so I removed the 3 it came with and changed to 5 standard double hooks. Hung with 2 Hangman bar hangers at the top and screwed the bottom board into studs for a secure hold. The screw holes and bolts are plainly visible, some counter sunk some not, so it looks kinda cheap, otherwise it serves it's purpose.

The shelf exceeded my expectations. The size and durability are impressive, assembly was relatively easy.
