Rustic wood bar stool

Perfectly matched the Saddle bar top table. Affordable stools. Although they were inexpensive compared to other bar stools, they still felt like good quality.

Quality solid wood, sturdy and attractive

Solid wood, sturdy, attractive, right height for high bar, and easy to assemble. Pretty comfortable for a wood bench seat. Delivered quickly. Looks good with dark wood decor. Impressed by quality. Made in Vietnam.

Hairline crack in one of the legs

One of the stools has a hairline crack in one of the legs. We would have loved to get it replaced however the only option was to return/refund everything. There was no option to contact the third party support line. I'll stick with Prime in the future.

Beautiful stools

I bought these stools for my kitchen island. They match great and were easy to assemble. The wood grain is beautiful. They are very sturdy and great quality. Highly recommend.

Easy assemble and feels sturdy.

Easy assemble. Feels sturdy. Not quite as comfy as the round, swivel full back stool we replaced but they took up way too much space so we downsized to these. I love how compact they are. They do seem to scratch easily though.

Save your $$

The quality of the materials is fine. The instructions were not done well. I actually figured out a smarter way to do it so you don't have to contort your hand or make a thousand turns to get a bolt in. Do not put the piece on the bottom of the seat first. Attach them to to frame & put the dowels into the frame, popping the seat on last. Also, the wooden pieces to cover the bolts don't match the wood & look really awkward & cheap. I left them off. Might fill the holes with something later but they still look better without those plugs.

I really like the look of these counter stools. They are a bit wobbly but hopefully will settle once sat on for a while. Also the edge of the seat does dig into your thighs a little especially when standing up. I’m going to get a cushion and I’m sure it will be fine. For the money these are super nice.

We have not put the stools together, yet, but love the color and weight of the stools! I am sure they will be perfect with the island purchased before the stools. We are going to put casters on the island, probably need to shorten the stools a bit. I will post a picture when we finish our alterations!

Finish -YUCK!

These are well made and sturdy stools. They were fairly easy to put together. Although these were real wood (the reason I liked them) the finish looks like plastic. I ordered the wire brushed grey color for the rustic appeal but It makes the stools look cheap and fake, not like real wood. I had already given my previous stools away, which I would have kept, if I had seen these first. Well, live and learn.

very nice quality

absolutely beautiful! Very nice quality and very easy to put together. I bought 4 and they came ahead of schedule. They were packaged very securely with absolutely no damage. If you don't like the california warning sticker underneath the seat, the sticker peels off and you can get the sticky glue off with oil and a dish scrubber. it leaves a dull spot, but its under the seat.

Beautifui to look at... not practical

I’m so sad. I love the look of these barstools. I only bought one to first see if I’d like them. I am happy that it came with major scratches and chips in the wood because it allowed me to see that they are not made to last. I took my fingernails and with a tad bit of pressure stroke them across the material and it made a very visible dent right away. These will be ruined within the first month of having them due my 4 children and neighborhood kids. They really are cute. Wish so badly they’d work out. Why aren’t things made to last anymore?!?!

Comfortable but quality lacking

When you open the package, the stool looks and smells processed. It definitely isn't high quality or solid wood. The assembly process was straightforward. We ordered two stools - one was balanced and fine and the other has one leg that isn't even. Also, one was chipped up despite reasonable packaging. The stool itself is comfortable and will do the trick until we get better quality ones.

Fits narrow spaces, grey color

I looked all over the net for a narrow, kid-friendly stool that would completely fit and practically vanish under a 10" counter. This means not only the seat but the legs as well have to make the 10" clearance as any legs jutting out would cause trips and falls when the stool is tucked in. It is very very difficult to find a stool with these narrow specs. This stool is sturdy and wide enough with a slightly dipped seat. My only qualm is that it feels like some plastic resin altho the specs say rubberwood. the wire brush texture that has black paint looks a little fake and doesn't look authentic. I would do without that if it was just a wood grain texture without the contrast "wire marks". Storm grey color is truly a slate grey, not brown. Lovely wood stools

These are really nice stools: solid wood, interesting finish. Regarding the color, I would not call them driftwood grey, but driftwood brown. They are a somewhat muted brown, and the wirebrush effect lightens the base color a little the way the light hits it. The color happens to match my floors ridiculously well! I chose these stools in large part because they are so narrow in depth and I wanted stools to fit underneath my extremely shallow counter overhang. I can tell you, I looked, and these are some of the narrowest on the market, so if that's what you're looking for, and you don't mind a little rustic touch, look no further!

Good value

These are nice stools. They are lightwieght and the quality, I think, is reflected in the price. Nice stools can cost a lot more than these, but these are stylish, and fairly sturdy. I used wood glue while assembling for added strength. Not sure if it was needed as I didn't assemble one without glue, but it seemed a good idea and was simple to do.It's a fairly soft wood, so if you are going to use them a lot or they in a harsh environment I would pass. But for my uses, the casual kitchen island seating, it's fine.

These are probably the only thing I've ever purchased from Overstock that I have to leave a negative review for. They are so poorly made and rickety. We tried to assemble one (we put together lots of furniture and are very comfortable with this) and could not get it to feel sturdy. Wouldn't want to put one of my kids on it. While disassembling it to prepare for return, the seat broke off. We're now paying *** to return 3 of these. Lesson learned on this brand, not my usual experience from Overstock.

A couple of issues but overall ok for the price

Nice, sturdy stools however I can not give them 5 stars. I ordered four stools, three of them have white waxy film across portions of the top part of it that I am unable to remove with soap and water . I do not want to use any harsh chemicals on it either so we are just hoping that it will eventually fade. The film almost looks like residue of something that melted on them.The second issue are the little screw covers which easily pop off. Perhaps some would glue would hold but I haven’t tried it yet.Also, the color description stated Grey however, these are the exact color which are pictured (similar to old, untreated barn wood that has been re-purposed and glazed) which is perfect for my home decor anyway.

Honestly, I bought these as a temporary solution assuming at this low price that they would be a bit rough and not as advertised. They were so cheap I didn't really care and thought I'd give them away when I moved apartments. Turns out, they are fantastic quality, super comfortable and they look stunning under my kitchen counter. The only thing is the little studs that fill in the holes where the screws go in keep popping out but I don't care about that at all. They were a fantastic purchase and I couldn't be happier. If you like the look of them buy them immediately. They are great chairs.

These stools are horrible I wish I did not waste my money. We have had these for less than a year and they are literally falling apart and have been since we received them. The buttons on the side of the chair fall out every single day despite us gluing them back in place. They are not sturdy at all. They wobble when you sit on them. I wish I never purchased! Now I have these bar stools I wasted so much money on and need new ones already! Very disappointed with this purchase!

Sturdy, but wrong dimensions

I bought this product because of it's narrow dimensions. When I put it together, I was disappointed to learn it is NOT 10" deep (which would have fully hid under my counters). It is 11 3/4" at the base. The seat depth is 9". The color is a brown with distressed grey woodgrain lines. It looks like a very faded brown from a distance. There are a few spots where the finish probably wasn't completed correctly, but you can't tell too much because the finish gives it more of a distressed look. The product is very sturdy and comfortable. Besides the disappointing dimensions, it is a good product.
