[Rewarded Review] Nice faux pottery that is sturdy and stays nice.

This really is a beautiful piece. While it is resin it looks like glazed pottery. Though it is much lighter than clay or cement. One of my favorite features is the rubber plug in the bottom. This is useful to promote drainage without drilling, or run a drip line up into the pot, or just leave it plugged.

Very Nice Planter!

This is larger than I expected. It is well made/formed and weighty. It is perfect for the plants I have. It looks elegant compared to the other planters that I have. It is a very nice planter. I don't see anything that to dislike about it.

Looks great and built To last

This planter is a real improvement over other pots that we have used. And the decorative scallop flower And gloss finish are very appealing. It does not have a drain hole, but there is access on the bottom to drill one if you choose to do so. It is very lightweight yet very durable and feels solid.

Narrow bottom planter with plugged bottom

This came boxed and wrapped in hard plastic. It does feel like a resin material and the finish came with some scratches. There is a rubber plug in the base, so water will not drain. Large plants are not recommended as it would be easy for it to tip over in wind or if animals tried to climb in or tug on the plants. I like the solid lightweight material, but worry the finish will not hold up outdoors. It does have nice styling, but I would prefer a wider base and the option for drainage when used outdoors as it may collect rainwater.

Multiple uses, will last for many years

Product arrived well-packed so not even a scratch was noted. In fact, the vase’s thickness and material composite renders it nearly indestructible. It has a lot of planting room. This is helpful for plants that have long roots. There is a drain plug at the bottom to help keep the planting soil fresh. This product would also do well with small shrubs and faux plants. The black color will absorb a lot of heat, so certain flowers and ornamental plants may become stressed. It’s simply a great-looking vase that could even be used as an indoor decorative piece with faux plants. Highly recommended!

This has such a beautiful antique English cottage look. I just love it. I really like like antique bone white color with the lightest touch of cream coloring in the rose and swag design. It looks lovely in the small Irish knot, night garden that I am creating in the woods behind my cabin. It's a great size too, allowing me plenty of space to plant a small orange blossom bush and edge the entire pot with some long trailing succulents that will not only help to keep the moisture in the soil, but also add to the antique Irish garden look that I'm going for. (When it all blooms and grows, I will post some pictures.) It came very well packaged and undamaged by shipping which is saying something. It is very sturdy and well made, and looks more like a real stone planting urn than resin, but unlike stone, it's light enough for me to carry to the place I want it to be. I am going to buy more of these in different shapes and sizes to tuck in around the garden and the house!

If you are looking for a nice high end planter/URN that can be used in the house, entrance way, Lanai, pool deck etc. consider a planter from Southern Patio. I had this delivered and it came well packaged. I chose the ivory color although it comes in four different colors. While this looks heavy , it's not, it's resin and only weighs 15 1/2 pounds. I am currently using this inside the house with artificial flowers, easy to move for cleaning, but you can just as easily fill it with potting soil. There is a removable rubber plug in the bottom for drainage. This has an impressive high gloss finish that is also UV and weather resistant.

Beautiful looking Urn! Glossy black color is eye catching! The delivery man even commented that it was not heavy considering the size of the box. There is a drain hole at the bottom that can be replaced and used if you just want to use for artificial flowers . It looks so classy on the outside of the front door. I have bought many planters, pots, urns, etc for my home and yard over the years. Ceramic is very heavy and can break. Plastic has a short life span outside. This product seems to be the perfect solution. This urn is much heavier and sturdier compared to fiberglass or plastic, but not as heavy as ceramic or clay. It has a removable plug in the bottom to accomodate drainage if so desired. It is 18 inches tall and can accomodate larger plantings. Great for inside or outside uses!

WOW!!! Was I pleasantly surprised when this Porter Black Resin Urn arrived. I will use these between my three garage doors. This is a beautiful urn, simple yet elegant. It appears that it will last many years outdoors without rusting or other exterior deterioration. Beautiful, solid, not at all flimsy. Color is a glossy black. There is a plug at the bottom of the urn that you can pull out for drainage so you won't have to drill. This urn should last for years. The urn is very sturdy, well made, UV resistant, and weather resistant.

I was looking forward to using the Porter 15.50 in. x 18 in. Ivory Resin Composite Urn as the picture really looked nice. My first impression, was the box packaging was not so great and I noticed out of the box a couple of nicks inside and out on the urn. Usually this would not be an issue, but the resin used is black and the urn is white. The contrast of the damage makes it very noticeable. Check your Urn for these issues when you unpack it. Also the white is much more of a gloss and not as matte as I was hoping for.

I couldn't wait to see how it looked, so I started with silk flowers, until my real plant m arrives in a few days. I love the hand-crafted details, and the very smooth sleek finish. I knew immediately upon opening the box, that I had made the perfect choice. I certainly look forward to a life-time of continued usage of my beautiful Southern Patios Urn. It is very well constructed, and also quite cost effective when compared to other types of planters such as ceramic or stone. Goes with all outdoor decors.

I have been searching for a lightweight planter for a very long time. Imagine finding one that’s stylish too. This planter is that and more. If shipped it arrives securely packed in foam and air bags. It’s made for a patio but I’m using it inside. I placed my faux plant inside then simply used some of the shipping foam and airbags as a filler. All I need to do now is buy decorative moss to cover it. White marbles would look great too. Color is brownish with a hint of burgundy. I love it and want another one!

We absolutely love this urn. It is the perfect size for large plants. We had some plants that were experiencing slow growth because our planters were too small. This urn is perfect. The color is a really nice gloss - it is a dark red (blood red). The urn is made of high quality resin with a thick plastic (black) interior. The urn can be used indoors or outdoors. We liked these so much we are using them indoors so they will last many years to come. The urn is sufficiently heavy so I do not think the wind will be able to blow it over if used outdoors. The manufacturer (Southern Patio) is to be commended on their packaging practices. They packaged the urn in a heavy cardboard box with Styrofoam interior. I acquired two of these urns and both arrived without a scratch. Very happy with this urn. The urn does not look cheap as do many others available on the market.
