Looks great! Parts were all included and instructions were semi-easy - I had a carpenter install so if you are handy prob wouldn't be hard to assemble yourself....Overal doubled my closet space and looks much more high end and organized!

The store needs to let the consumer know how many boxes to expect in the delivery. I had numerous boxes delivered on different days. I hired someone to install this closet and it was inconvenient with scheduling this installer..

[Rewarded Review] Best closet system I have ever owned!

I have assembled a lot of furniture and shelving from a lot of different stores over the last 25 years of adulthood, and this is easily the nicest look and quality of construction and materials that I have ever had the pleasure of assembling. And that includes various other lines of ClosetMaid shelving and closet systems, so I am actually able to compare apples to apples.

In comparison to other closet systems I have installed The ClosetMaid Space Creations closet system offers several upgraded features - which I appreciate. While the comprehensive (it accommodates all installation configurations offered by ClosetMaid) instruction booklet initially is impressive -- it lacks some details that would greatly help with installation.

My partner has taken over our closet, thank god for this product , I have now gained space back in the closet because this beautiful closet space storage unit. It solid it’s sturdy and I’m in the process of going to Lowe’s and buying enough to cover the entire closet ! Lowes you saved me!

[Rewarded Review] Quality Piece that requires extra skill set

Overall I think this is a great quality system but comes with complexities. Let me break that down. I’ll first clarify my husband put this together. He was not thrilled with the number of boxes within boxes. But we understand this was to prevent shelving from scratching or breaking during shipment. Second if your closet isn’t the exact size of this system it will require you to customize and utilize someone with the right skill set. If that’s not you, you may reconsider or find someone to help you. Third, the directions weren’t all that great. The image on the front of the instruction manual didn’t even match the final product. A little misleading and intimidating thinking that the wrong system shipped. After all was said and done, my husband didn’t like that placement of some of the brackets was basically an eyeball test. We’re lucky he’s got the skill set to figure that out. Our closet was actually smaller than the system so it required customizing and cutting the shelving to the right size. We didn’t actually do that. This isn’t our forever home so we’ll hang tight to those shelving pieces we didn’t use and reconfigure for future spaces. Overall great quality and sturdiness.

[Rewarded Review] Beautiful Closet Organizer

Love the look and design of this closet organizer. The customization of this set is great. Install can take a couple hours (3-4) depending on the number of cuts you have to make for the hang rods and panels on either side. Instructions are pretty simple though. The front facing boards add some good depth to the unit. Also like the hole covers they provide for any areas you'd like to blend in. My wife loves it!

[Rewarded Review] Modified Setup - Worked Good

I thought this system came with side boards but it is designed to use inside a closet using the closet walls. My closet was too small to accommodate the designed setup but I wanted a free standing system anyway. I started with the base system in the middle and then built the shelving off to the left in my office and it worked great. The only major issue I had was tapping the base insert for the feet into the bottom - the instructions said to gently tap the insert but I must have done it too hard and shelf on the bottom broke through (see photo). I found the instructions to be fairly clear and detailed. Otherwise, I was happy with the unit. I received this unit free under the condition that I provide a fair and unbiased review which I have done.

[Rewarded Review] Easy to install, complete directions, quality

I installed this in my 7 ft. Long closet. Initially I was going to try to design my own shelves. This kit was incredibly easy to put together. The directions were pretty good. You have to realize that they do give you directions for their entire line. In one packet. Some sections may not apply to you. The shelves are chip board with laminate over them which is more than adequate. The trim faces are MDF. Be very careful when installing. I wish that they would update these to chip board, I split a few but glued and clamped them. Before installing this I had drawers and hung most of my clothes. I really like folding my t-shirts and my sweaters in the shelving system for this. Way more organized. I would say it also keeps me honest because all my clothes are showing. The stainless steel bars have to be cut. Easily done with a hack saw. I plan to purchase two more sets for my other closets. Great product shipped fast. Love it.

[Rewarded Review] Not made with quality material.

I received this Space Creations white wood closet set and was looking forward to installing in the guest bedroom closet. I started to assemble the cabinet and quickly learned that this was not made with good quality material. The pieces were made with particle board and was easy to crack, bend and scrape off the white backing that was stuck to the wood. After following the directions and putting the foot inserts where they go, and giving them light taps with a rubber mallet, as directed, the wood started to split. So, I decided not to install this in the closet, but to get real solid wood so that I won't have to pull it out in less than a year, if that. I will however being using the clothes rods as they are sturdy and made with good material. I really would have liked to say this was going to be a good product, but, it's my opinion that this wood would not last or be able to handle any real weight and prolonged use for a long period of time.

We got this shelving unit for our master walk in closet to upgrade and use or space better. Came well packaged and protected in cardboard and foam. Instructions were very thorough and I put together and installed (with another Closetmaid tower to fill our area) in less than 3 hours. Came with all the necessary hardware and extras. Went together very well and looks very good in the space. Very good for the money even though it is particle board with veneer. Has very sturdy shelving and locking system and very nice chrome brackets and hardware. We were very impressed with the quality!! The gray finish looks very good in our space and the screw covers are made from the veneer as well which is very nice!! My wife is very happy as this is the closer she always wanted !!

Great customizable kit. Easy to assemble with directions. All parts were included in packages. Be careful not to chips edges very easily done. Nice fasteners and very sturdy after construction.

[Rewarded Review] Customizable Closet System

I chose the ClosetMaid Space Creations closet system to help organize mine and my wife's walk in closet. We needed space for our clothes, firebox with important papers, emergency food storage in case of long term power outage, etc. Right now I only have the frame unit assembly with 5 adjustable height shelves, the top shelves and brackets, and exterior hang rods. This system was easy to assemble with the provided instructions and pictures. It is a very good solid design with some parts pokayoked so you cannot assemble it wrong. The hardware was packaged well and easy to find what you needed when you needed it. When installing the back panel on the frame unit, the nail guide was very useful in holding the nail and making sure it was properly spaced from the edge. I used a piece of leftover quarter round from another project to gauge distance between nails. When leveling the base unit, I liked being able to adjust the feet from inside the closet with a screwdriver. I also like you can add on to this system. I plan on getting the corner unit and attaching hang rods to finish the other side of the closet. With 2 hang rods shorter than my previous set up, I actually have more hanging space than I previously had with the one log rod.

[Rewarded Review] High quality closet

The closet has beautiful color and functionality, but it really goes above and beyond with some little details. There are high end trim pieces that go around the unit. There are also special screws for the shelf so that each shelf can't accidently get bumped out of place. The unit also uses a high quality rod rather than an extendable rod that can bend. One suggestion is to use clamps when you are using wood glue for the trim pieces.

[Rewarded Review] Good Closet, lots of well thought out features

I really like this closet kit, and it's a bit of a step up from the basic kits. The rods are cut to length during install so it's a smooth end to end piece, rather than the extending type. The shelves have a locking mechanism to the pegs, and that's the first I've seen of that. I'm a big fan of that over the normal resting on the pegs. I've built a lot of furniture with nailed in back panels, but this is the first time I've received a nail gauge to properly hold and space the nail on the back panel. My fingers appreciated not being smashed by putting in 36 small nails. I think that's a great install design feature and is an example of the care that's gone into the design of this piece. My walls aren't square, so there was some modification required to make it fit. There's a slight gap on one of my walls on the trim piece, but you can't really tell when the closet it full. This system completely changed the look of my closet and bedroom for that matter, and I'm very happy with the end result. The trim pieces covering the shelving edge is the part of the design that takes it to that elegant level.

The ClosetMaid SpaceCreations closet system was nicely packaged in 13 boxes. Installation was fairly easy by following the provided instructions. I really like the gray color as it gives a good contrast to the white closet space that I have. The quality of the materials is very good. The polished chrome hang rods and the brackets look good and sturdy. I encountered a minor issue while assembling the frame unit. There were two left panels instead of a left and right panel. I drilled a few similar size holes on one of the panels so that I can fit in the cam locks and the dowels for the top and bottom shelves. Once fully assembled, the frame unit with the shelves look great. Next, I installed the adjoining unit consisting of a 48 inches top and middle shelves and two hanging rods about 2 1/2 inches below each shelf. The whole system look very elegant and it really make my once bare closet very functional. I plan to install similar units in my two other similar size, adjoining closet spaces. I will highly recommend the ClosetMaid SpaceCreations closet system to homeowners who want a nice and functional closet.
